ToOger is not for first timers I heard...also neither is Dekaranger, Once they hear Banban they will immediately…
Not meaning to start an argument as this list was just formed because I've seen all the series until Zyuohger and found these to be the series that'd change people's minds if they'd never seen Super Sentai before and their only impression of the franchise was what they'd seen or heard of from Power Rangers. Whenever I've shown these to people I get mostly positive reactions vs when I show something that's "old" like anything pre-Dynaman, anything too "Japanese" like Kakuranger or Carranger, anything too silly like Go-Onger, or anything too fanservicey like Gokaiger or Akibaranger. The others I've found to be better after watching more Sentai but anybody can start anywhere as far as I'm concerned with 40+ different series in existence.

I am curious, why you do you not believe ToQger shouldn't be listed? I've had mostly positive reactions to it when showing friends IRL especially with the imagination theme.

I can't vouch for anybody dropping Dekaranger because of Ban but I'm not going to discount that. As a Red, he'd very loud and brash compared to the others but I ended up respecting him 2 episodes in because I'm a sucker for these series lol. I placed it though because, for a lot of western Sentai fans, it's the first one they'd have seen outside of Zyuranger. There aren't many barriers in the series like it being too Japanese since it is primarily a sci-fi based sentai in a futuristic Earth, and throws out having centralized villains and MotW for a format that westerners tend to understand better. Dekaranger is also still very popular in Japan. So much so that the actors have continuously have reprised their Dekaranger roles in many different Toei series and movies even just recently as 2017.
