Ever read a story and the people involved would get into situations which could easily be resolved with one sentence of explanation from one character, and they just won't say it because PLOT, and it frustrates you despite all the many opportunities for them to do so? Yeah, that's this story.
Not really. He killed a young man in Ep1 with his axe and made his GF a widow. Karma is just exacting revenge…
I wouldn't say SFHY's clan was evil. His clan was dying. All their sheep just got slaughtered by the Muru calvary, and they're stuck in a barren land with no game to sustain them. The Shoufeng leader did what he thought he had to do to procure the continual survival of his clan - that was to take over the other clan's land. It's more "survival of the fittest".
probably dumb question but since it's Hollywood will all actors be speaking in English for this movie? It just…
They'll be speaking English, that's why the knowledge of fluent English was a requirement for the role. Nobody spoke French in Beauty and the Beast and it was fine.
Male ancient hairstyles with bangs really bother me... and everyone know it's all about those long locks of hair. Can someone please control Gu Qing Hong's hair? It's trying to get away from him.
I have never respected a second male lead before. Accepting the fact that someone doesn't love love you so…
I want happiness for both guys because I like them both. They're complete opposites - one is controlled and contemplative, while the other is bold and commanding - but they're both good guys and I'm hoping YZhan stays "good". I'm actually more afraid of YZhan becoming an enemy than all of 9th's antics, because YZhan could cause a lot of damage with all that intellect. I see him as the sleeping tiger.
Perhaps his mother sees herself in their situation? She was also someone who fell in love with a royal but everyone was against it, which led her to go to such great lengths to be with the king. She may be a dark mage but Yuan Ling is still her son. Perhaps she doesn't want to subject him to the same ordeal.
Could also be she has a very hands off approach to raising him, and only interacts with him when necessary.
is it just me that i really dont see their romance at all?
He doesn't even realize his feelings for her until ep 19/20. Jealous YL is on ep18 and after "the incident" the boy is avoiding her lol (but not for long!). If you're going to get into this, you're going to have to like intrigue also, because that's been a large part of the show. Eps 1-5 I see as a very condensed prologue.
So we probably expecting that the ending will be where CQ thought that YY was dead.. and the director will gonna…
The end of a drama is not so important? The ending can sometimes make or break a drama for me. It decides if the journey was worth it. Excuse me while I go fester in my angst about the upcoming ending.
Mostly interested seeing Li Qin in this, since I know that girl can ACT and pull at your heart strings.

But she is busy with translating other works so I don't know when she'll get back to it.
