I echo the same sentiment. Yuan Shen is another pitiful case, atleast Zisheng is cold ❄ on the exterior and warm on the interior but Yuan Shen is a whole different case. Even him for himself doesn't know that he fell in love with CSS at first sight when he throw the thing(I can't remember it's name 😄) at her

I quite agree with your stand. I think Cheng Madam wants to live the lavish life but doesn't care that it's comes at a cost. I am saddened that the family is going through this but CSS and LBY will definitely make a break through in this case.

Episode 41 and 42 was so nerve racking for me. I laughed, I cried and I feel shy with CSS and LBY romance. I appreciate the fact that CSS is seeing the flaws in other people marriages, this could be a good life lesson for her in her own marriage with LBY. Things are getting so out of control that it's not funny. Zisheng and the emperor has a really good father and son relationships. I laughed when he(emperor) throw something at him(Zisheng) because he wants to go to war.

That is one interesting way to look at it and I get your point especially knowing CSS origin and how she feel a deep sense of need to be loved and appreciated by others but I believe that at this juncture in the show....CSS has grown in her character and attitude thanks to the teachings of the empress who by the way use gentleness to match her stubborn personality.

I am of the firm belief that CSS loves LBY even more than she knows - for one she is learning to understand her heart. She knows the difference between gratitude and genuine love because when it's comes to LBY she is making every effort to fit into his world and understanding the reason why he is the way he is.

Episode 38 really got to me. CSS acted really well in this episode...it was emotional that I felt her pain when LBY was getting beaten. This episode tested her love for him. I always knew that she loved him but she is not good at expressing those feelings out loud .....His majesty just gave her the push she needed to release those emotions she had bottled up for LBY. I am beginning yo really love this show more than ever

I know what you mean. I myself I am Procurement Officer for the Government and also a part time student doing my degree. Books and dramas are my life lol 😂

I am very tempted to read the book and I realize I'll gain a deeper connection with CSS and LBY

I feel your pain but I believe some separations are for the better. I've heard they have an happy ending.

I love that they step up the romance elements...they just need to add some kiss scenes lol

I enjoyed the little cute moments of CSS and LBY. Their love is gradually growing to be strong and powerful. Just the thought of them separating gives me anxiety

It breaks my heart to know that there will come a part when CSS and LBY will separate for 5 years before having their reunion.

I am also at episode 24 but I couldn't wait so I watched all the spoiler trailers. I am very emotional attached to certain Cdramas and this is one of them

It is amazing the way screenwriters have some of us in anguish and in a mood that shows our discontentment with the script. I have seen too many dramas with faulty script lines etc. I hope that part 2 bring much more kindship in some way or the other. If I were to comment on each flaw within the script - then it will start from the beginning of the drama.

I get the feeling that she is using reverse psychology on her daughter because she knows that she is strong headed and stubborn in nature. Only this way will CSS accept the marriage or maybe we are over thinking things lol. Which episode have you reached.?

I understand that perspective but was there any other options that embarrassing CSS. They mother could have told the emperor that they need time to thing about the marriage seriously or she could have asked CSS direction from the beginning instead of directly refusing. I don't quite know the extent to which their rules goes but I sort of pity CSS because her life seems out of control......Like she is sandwich between her parents and what society expects of her. I see LBY has a man who defies all for what he believes in, a man who CSS can break all the rules with and still be herself without having to care what the world thinks of her. Even though LBY has his own family problems - CSS will help keep the balance if she were to become his wife. He is loyal and be only have one wife in his entire life time.

I personally think that every parents loves their children but some just show their love in different ways. CSS mother needs a time out to think about how she treats her daughter. She feel her actions are always justified no matter what she does.

I understand what you mean but why do I get the sense that her mother is challenging her in every way. I feel as though the mother prefers LBY for CSS but just refuse to show her approval in anyway possible.
