Yah, it appeared that ML had finally overcome his desire to pursue FL.
He accepted the fact that there was no chance between them; he had mismanaged the opportunity unknowingly at the beginning.
So he stopped clinging to FL after the time gap.

Actually, an open ending isn't my cup of coffee.
I'm not quite fond of open endings...
That's why I'm heartbroken.
& after so many hardships, they don't deserve an open ending.
If their relationship had been happy, even just for a day, it would've been easy to accept.
but there was no such thing at all but just an interest in love.
Unfortunately, I guess that was the moral of this drama.😖😖
