Also, if the souls were switch for them to find each other as lost brothers or something like that, then, again: Why isn't Yeon Jae awake in Kyung Joon's body? Where is Yeon Jae's soul? This makes me think he is completely dead, and if so, dead people don't come back to life.

Yes I wonder about the same thing. And really hope the end is that Kyung Joon goes back to his body, while Yeon Jae remains dead. I mean, Yoen Jae's soul is no where around, if we were to think about souls and bodies, if the body does not function then the person dies (I guess the soul would leave the body and such things) in this case, Yeon Jae's body is functional as Kyung Joon's soul took it... why? is his body the one that is damage somehow? and if Yeon Jae's soul took Kyung Joon's body then why isn't him awake? this is getting very confusing, and if they don't play it right, I wont be convinced and it will lead to a BIG disappointment. *sigh* crossing fingers.

Wow Bladey, go for it! :D I support you because it is the truth. But its not only the truth of the Asian drama world, it is the truth of everything else. Like those Hollywood flicks we turned our eyes from, that is basically what makes money since the majority of people want to see flying cars and explosions. Good thing the Oscar Academy still focuses on what is good. I follow it, and try to watch the films that are nominated but not always like all of them hahaha.
I will message you with the rest of the comment :p

Girl, my dad lives on shoe box, yet he has traveled the world countless of times to places I could never dream of going even when I live in a first world country.
He is the happiest shoe box owner I have ever known. ;)

OMG Bladey I think the same way. I think there are dramas that are good despite any bad opinion anyone could have about it; there are really terrible dramas, despite any good opinion anyone could have about it; and then there are those hit- or miss dramas, that are good or bad depending on the person watching and the chord it strikes on their hearts.
I have basically found you around MDL on almost every other drama/film I truly like. So I have confidence that I will like AGD.
No surprises if I were to say that Secret Garden is definitely not my top favorite, if it ever get to be a favorite. I still have trouble thinking of what went wrong... oh that's right, they had to switch, yet again at the very end to prove he truly loved her -as if having done it before like 3 or 4 times weren't enough.

Girl I never said Gong Yoo was Tom Hanks hahaha, it never crossed my mind either :p I understand you though. But still, I think its pretty impressive compared to the other works of the Hong sisters. And you know what I have noticed? The people that dont like them, but only one or two of their dramas, actually like different dramas. Why is that? hahaha. For example, I prefer Couple of Fantasy, and Rita mentioned My Girl was okay for her(although not exactly what she likes) You like Gumiho best... see? we all dislike the sisters, but like different drams from them. ^^ interesting.
Im going to give Gentleman's Dignity a try, just because you speak so great about it dear Bladey :D

Haha no worries... I understand how you feel and you can never offend me with your words friend :)
I can care less about either. I can say Im more supportive of My Girlfriend is a Gumiho because of Shin Mi Nah, and Seungi. Both are pretty good actors, but My Girl was just really blah for me... I mean, who in the hell is dirt poor and wears a different pair of leather boots everyday? Really? that kind of detail is what turns me off in Korean romcoms, they are too focus in making the characters look good... there is another word for that but our dear soldier from the North said it better than me in a certain drama you love so much ^^
twinie I have to let you go now, as I am officially late for work (I have a nice boss, but cannot push it) Please come back to me with your thoughts on Big haha... I love our discussions. Hugs.

I value your opinion a lot, as you know much more than me about writing. I'll wait for your opinion on the first two episodes of Big. I keep saying first two, because I dont want to put my word in for a whole drama when we are talking about the Hong sisters. ;)
I guess we'll be walking on egg shells.

And I can connect with you on that too hahahaha... I hate Titanic just because its so raved about... overrated, ugh.
Well as far as the dialogues in Big. I can tell you its not as bad as other dramas. Trust me on this one, I dont like My Girl because its really not believable AT ALL. Dont get me started with that one.
Something that is hard to set aside, is what is believable from what is real. I love fantasy, anything that has a touch of supernatural, of fantasy I love. But I want to believe that it is possible, otherwise its not convincing me, and when you write, whether fantasy or science-fiction, or just regular fiction, you have to convince your reader/viewer of what is happening in your story. So far, Big has convinced me, Im not an expert in well-written scripts, but these two episodes (mostly the first one) were excellent, to my understanding of what is good.

You know how we write? we can never fit all we want to say into one message LOL.
The premise of Big, is a boy who suddenly wakes up as an adult. The movie is really funny because the boy is about 10 or 12 (I cant remember) and Tom Hanks plays it adorably well (Tom Hanks... no words needed) However, the drama holds the same premise but changes the plot a bit. Still pretty good start. I was super impress at how well it was written (the first episode) The second was less exciting, but still held the same tone as the first. Right now is the only drama I wish to watch out of the airing ones. Bridal Mask is good, but as it is overdone Im not too excited about it.

To be honest I understand your hatred of the Hong sisters, because I dont like them much either. My Girl ewww that says it all.
However, Big you will like and more than just because of Gong Yoo, it had a really good start as far as well written plots go. Whether it manages to hook in or not, that is another story. I mean, Pride & Prejudice is a damn well written book, but not every avid reader likes it. ;)
I think the Hong sisters should stick to writing based off films. Couple of Fantasy, another drama of theirs is much better than any other drama they have written. Don't know if you have seen that one. One factor? Its based of the movie Overboard from the 80s which is pretty funny and lighthearted. Big is also based of a movie, titled Big just the same, and with no other actor than Tom Hanks for a lead. The drama is not exactly like the movie, but the main plot is the same.
