To clear things up about Orchid’s attitude because apparently she is being slapped in the face for no good reasons:
1. Why did she not argue more about her people to DFQC?
She is clever she knows that he will not back up from his plan. He has no incentive to do so so he will not. Its a lost battle. If you have watched the same drama as me, you know as much as she does that DFQC will not be cajoled in giving up his plan especially not after the whole episode with his father. he feels duty-bond to act like he does, and Orchid knows this as well.
2. Why did she not tell him she knows everyhing about his plan to clear the air?
Lets Remember first that he tricked her to get info to get rid of the goddess of war and continuously lied to her about it. She is nothing but a powerless plant, what is going to happen if she outs him? He is just going to send her back fully guarded by her army, while he deals with ChiDi.
Knowing when to fight and when to step back is called cleverness.
She gave him exactly three opportunities to talk about it and sort out the situation, he lied these three times. And the last time was particulary cruel, you could see on her face how it had broken her.
Orchid’s character and characterization was not made to become a figure that will follow blindly DFQC like a puppy and forgive him for everything wrong he will do. But someone who is going to be is equal and go toes-to-toes with him when he is wrong.
Only a heartache? 😅 I really wanted to slap her in the last 2 episodes 😂 I appreciate the fact she can be…

You dont know how surprised I was to how we came to the Mortal Realm arc!!! I really though that in Xianxia true fashion, it would be all very dramatic (Love & Destiny Hello!) but no 🤭 Apparently this Xianxia follows no code except its own and Im glad of it!!! Everyday is full of surprise watching LBFAD 😤
Appreciation Post for Dylan Wang acting in these last two episodes, he was truly able to showcase a palette of nuances in his expression that were so on point, that you didnt him to explain what he was going through or what he was thinking it was truly remarkable!
Same can be said for Esther Yu, I think Orchid really took DFQC continuous murderous attitude toward her people as a form of betrayal and killed her budding hope of more. She was heartbroken but still grasped at straw, while trying to be the bigger person because her people needed her. In the space of moments, she had to mature a lot and it shows completely on Orchid’s face. She is the same but different and Esther Yu brillantly portrayed this.

She is stupid and stubborn because she cant close her eyes on her people mass murder in the name of selfish love? She was brave and honest. A true hero.
So…….XuFeng will be partially or totally responsible of Orchid’s death…lovely😭 ShangQue could have at least told DFQC that he handed over the sword to XuFeng🙈
The most heartbreaking moment for me was in episode 20 when they lied to each other about not lying to each other! I think this was a moment of truth between them and they both missed it. Now they truly are firmly positioned on opposite sides, and they’re going to go at a shattering speed toward complete heartbreak.
