😭😂🤣 I think this happened to all of us! Dont think anyone thought that a web drama xianxia with zero promotion would end up being so good and of such a high quality. It was this August beautiful surprise just before the september doom😭
I think its because the characterization makes sense and makes you deeply involved with the characters, you can not not feel for them.the actors playing the leads are really good at microexpression, you can read so many things on their face without having them needing to talk.
I think its also come from the fact that since there is only 36 episodes, there is no filler, the drama is good paced and really centered around our leads.
Its also well written, directed, the CGI, set, lighting, color grading, OST all come together to serve the storyline and to make watching this drama extremely delightful.
All in all, you can see that from the director, to the writer, the actors, all the team that worked on this drama..they loved doing it and it shows.
Before episode 15 I would have rated this drama a good 8/10 and it would have trailed behing AoL and LoveandDestiny, but they have really added layers of depths these past episodes that for me this drama took the crown and sit now at a 9,5/10.
Someone was talking about the rock music anime style we got served every time DFQC goes all badass, yesterday I.ve rewatched the entire drama, and its more than that!!! They have literaly created Theme Song like in anime for at least 3 characters 👀 There is DFQC, CHANGHENG and RongHao’s butterfly sidekick!! I cant wait to have Orchid / Goddess Xi Yun get her own theme song !!!😭😭😭
I was thinking…do you think DFQC « nurse » who was to be executed by his father, could still be alive? Since apparently his father was not a cruel men, and loved his people, I’m not sure he would have gone to the extreme of killing her, may be he banished her far away. Or may be since he needed to cut the root of love, he already did. I really hope she is still alive for DFQC sake ❤️

Yes !!! An end at the Ashes of Love, where they live happily forever after in a world without fight or death, with little Orchid and little DFQC running about😭😭😭

You should watch the BTS, Dylan couldnot stop crying even after it was over and esther yu cried during the scene while she wasnt even supposed too. It was incredible, these actors gave their all for this scene!
