Same story as you, i came with zero expectation, just remembered i loved Esther Yu acting in another drama and thought i would give it a try. Watching the trailer the all body switching premise seemed an original take at least for a xianxia, played my first epsiode and fell in love. 😭
Also same for IS .Yang zi is my favorite actress but even for her i couldnt sit through pass ep 18. Hanrui did YangZi and ChengYi dirty on this one as expected, what a waste.

Yes i think thats why they will air the first 22 episodes in a row, following the storyline pacing, we will surely be rooted to our seat around these episodes and cry our eyes out to get our hands on the new ones. By then only 14 eposodes will be left and they will probably the ones with most story development. A Very good marketing strategy!

In episode 3 DFQC asked ShangQue to look for this hairpin, because it had the ability to « stop » to some degree the effect of the heart curse. He didnt find it but instead, he found the ring that DFQC use. When Jieli wanted to get out , she gave it to Orchid so that she could stop passing on her feelings to DFQC and make her run successful. In a very tragically poetic way, we learn that the ring and the hairpin were created by a once starcrossed couple who were from the fairy realm and the demon realm , after they had to part from each other, because the pain was too strong, they created these artifact to ignore each other feelings. Since Orchid has fallen in love with DFQC and doesnt want him to know about it she asked vehemently to keep it so she could protect her « secrets ».
