The FL is yet again annoyingly naive and silly yet the ML and SML are both smitten. ......... when oh when is this mediocre trope going to stop being used. To add to the crap is the baby voice that comes with the character. UGH. Notice that each drama that Jason is in has him showing off his naked muscular arms and chest. Possibly the highlight of the drama.......

I may come back to it at some point but it does nothing for me at this stage.

I find the drama strange in so much as not a single character appeals to me, that's about it. Not hating any one character just not into it.

Such a superb drama. Upon checking the dates on Wiki it appears Deok Im made Yi San wait almost 12 years before they actually became intimate. They had a short time together of around 3 and a bit years before she died. He was far from a womaniser no issue from the Queen and 2 other concubines. He only had children with Deok Im where sadly all 3 children died. After her death a Consort Su would birth him the next Crown Prince, however this did not transpire until 4 years after Deok Im's death then a second child a girl was born 3 years after that. Given he made Deok Im pregnant 3 times in the short period they were together gives some indication of his passion for her and possible lack of same with Consort Su. Though it was not noted in the drama Yi San wrote an epitaph stating how heartbroken he was at Deok Im's death and how much he loved her. All in all a very tragic love story made more painful due to the fact it actually happened. The acting has been so heartfelt and whilst viewing it it was so easy to become immersed in the story. Well written well executed and well directed. 10 out of 10 for me. Just wonderful though I cried my heart out. Even though this drama has a tragic story to tell it is a wonderful tale and the ending is beautifully written and played out.

This drama is one that could easily have continued for 20 plus episodes. I love the portrayal of LJH as both the Crown Prince bullied by his Grandfather and later as King , what a superb actor. LSY as the female lead also excels in her role. It is a pity that more episodes were not filmed with LJH and LSY as a happy couple, I know some sweetness will follow in the final 2 episodes however I am ready for the heartbreak also to follow. So great to view quality drama, this is the best one for me in 2021. Hopefully we will see much more of LJH in the future.

I am enjoying the drama but cannot stand the character Liu Ran she is annoyingly clingy and frankly stupid, each time that she calls out Hongyi Honyi I grit my teeth. Seems to be a trope used again and again in almost every C-dramas viz a silly little female twit. Wish they would drop it.

The video shows two different actors on the faceplate and so far there are only 3 episodes released. If it goes like Bright as the Moon which was quite nice each day 3 episodes will be uploaded - hopefully. So I am liking this drama and Gau Yun Xiang looks cute with a bald pate. I knew it would be a BS ending, the director and screenwriter were in the process of effing up this drama from around episode 44 . Such a shame the drama showed so much promise. Oh well on to the next one!

I rarely get my nickers in a twist as its just a drama however I cannot for the life of me work out how the director arrived at that fade to blur. The director was very aware that the build up to the consummation was quite emotive - they gave us coitus interruptus with the wedding night as a teaser. To pull a shitty fade to blur was just plain dirty. Given that the most popular drama ever with some 50B views (TMOPB) displayed how the physical interaction between the leads was such a success, the reveal of some decent physical attraction in this drama would have been the icing on the cake. This drama could have been quite special, however its almost like whoever was directing it some 3 to 4 episodes back has gone to sleep and someone else has taken over and mediocrity has set in. I don't expect anything special for the next 2 episodes

Thanks for clarifying this I also find the director's direction in the matter of the love scenes bizarre and frankly cringeworthy. If they were concerned about censorship then give it over to the censor and let them make the decision don't eff up the expectations of the viewing audience. That fade out scene should never be seen again in a cdrama its particularly annoying.

You are so right I am presently watching an earlier Novoland Tribes and Empires released 2017 would have been produced say 2015/2016. Now there are some very gutsy and epic scenes in it. Currently on YouTube - it is dubbed with Nth American voice over not so nice to hear. I prefer Mandarin with subs. However at this stage I am enjoying the drama even though its very long 75 episodes I am at episode 27.
