Please enlighten me. Does China allow BL content now? I’ve seen it available on various platforms.
Yes banning it seems kind of useless since many Chinese viewers can still watch it using a vpn. That’s why I was so surprised they allowed it to air not only outside of China but also on Chinese platforms. I would’ve understood if it was just on Viki but this drama’s literally being streamed on every major Chinese platform lol

Thank you for your reply, I understand now. Since I’ve heard Chinese fans going crazy over the actors lately. They must have found ways to watch the the drama outside of China. I used to think they don’t allow these dramas to be aired even outside of China.
I’m really surprised that this Chinese BL drama had more viewers in MDL than dramas starring big traffic Chinese actors during the same period and even got good ratings. Is it because of the 18+ content or something else? How’s the story? I’m thinking of watching it just to see why it’s been so well received.
You know, people seem totally fine when the male lead is the one chasing the female lead like in TFF but not when…
Yes, he should have done better. But he’s still just a boy who hasn’t fully learned to think and act like an adult. Hopefully, this will be a life lesson for him not to hurt someone who loves him and waits for him next time.

Exactly, that’s why this drama didn’t get a strong response. The male lead’s character doesn’t appeal to many female viewers, but in reality, he’s just a struggling teenage boy trying to figure things out. He still needs life experience to grow, and honestly, I find that more realistic than the forced romance we often see in some drama.
No wonder people Don't understand cherry's unwavering feelings of love towards Jiang qiaoxi bcz seeing this Generation's…
You know, people seem totally fine when the male lead is the one chasing the female lead like in TFF but not when it’s the other way around. Why is that? Why can’t the girl take the initiative too? When a guy does it, he’s seen as a hero. But when a girl does the same, she’s suddenly labeled as having no self-respect. It’s such a clear double standard. Isn’t that ironic?
When TFF was airing same people who defending FL there now bashing ML here😂I just come here to see hypocrite…
I’m really annoyed with the female lead’s character in TFF. What’s even more frustrating is that the drama section comments seem totally fine with the male lead being a stalker who suddenly turns into a 'hero'. That shift happened way too fast, just to force a romantic story-line.
And those same people you mentioned seem perfectly okay with the male lead chasing the female lead but not when it’s the other way around. In this case, the male lead is just a teenager. What do they expect? For him to suddenly become a 'hero' like the male lead in TFF? Of course, the TFF male lead has a wealthy background that gives him the means to chase a girl, but that’s not the case here.
This drama feels like a waste of both ZJM and ZLH’s efforts, especially ZLH’s. He had significantly less screen time compared to the supporting roles. Was he misled into taking this part? The male lead’s character is poorly written. ZLH has so much more potential, and he's incredibly popular in China. I really don’t understand why he accepted this role in the first place.
To be honest, I don’t see any chemistry between ZJM and ZLH, neither in this drama nor in The Princess Royal. If it didn’t work in two shows, there’s really no need to pair them again in a third. Ironically, they seem to have more chemistry off-screen, but on-screen it just falls flat. In fact, both actually had better chemistry with their other co-stars.
The leads look amazing!

TFF is one of the most overrated dramas of all time.
