Since they are already making a whole show about messy office scandals, and even marketed it as "29+" (whatever that means), I hope they go all out with the messiness. Keeping it tame will be boring. Bring on the foul, juicy office affairs lol

tell me one show that is better
Personally, for case by case law dramas I liked Pro Bono recently.

Maybe because Esom is also the lead here but this feels a bit like Taxi Driver to me but with ghosts. It doesn't feel like a law drama. And frankly the writing feels weaker than similar recent shows.

This is a good tease from tvN that the drama will follow an office dramedy/slapstick (Gaus Electronics, Radiant…
I much prefer these wacky office comedies. Most of the usual office romances are more about the outfits that the FL wears than the actual plot (No shade to Park Minyoung 😂)

I think there were some parts where you had to read between the lines and I'm not sure if I understood it all.

"I realized that wealth isn't a state of being but a feeling. It would have been better if I didn't experience it" this line got me thinking. Did she find out that she wouldn't feel satisfied with wealth alone? That wealth wouldn't fill in her sense of worth? She definitely wanted to get rich in the beginning, but we see over time that her real desire was for something else.

If the detective could control his facial expressions and pretend that her tissue sample was found, I think he could have had one last shot at getting a confession out of her. She was already on the verge of giving up! Alas, he couldn't hide his shock at the tissue samples going missing and Sarah Kim knew what happened immediately. Too bad he isn't a master manipulator of her level 😂

Someone give the stylists and makeup artists a raise, I'm IN LOVE with her look in ep 8! She looks absolutely gorgeous 🤩

This one is tricky... It started as a murder mystery and in the second half, became more of a psychological crime drama. It was different from my expectations. There were definitely both strengths and flaws, but as a whole, I enjoyed it and was invested throughout.

What was undeniably good is Shin Hye Sun's performance. The effortless charisma and persuasiveness doesn't make me surprised that people around her fell for her tricks. It's to the point that you wonder if she was really faking it, and you can't help but like her character. Sarah Kim is also a compelling protagonist to me. She isn't a ruthless villain or a cliche genius con artist, she was intelligent but very human despite what she ended up doing in the show.

I also liked the wealthy victim characters. They weren't obnoxious caricatures nor evil chaebols. They were rather realistic portrayals of how the rich would behave and get swayed -- which is, imo, very rare in kdramas. In that sense, I think the biggest contributor to my enjoyment was the complexities in the relationships between Sarah Kim and the victims.

Onto the flaws, I definitely thought the show lost a bit of steam in the middle parts. The interrogations clearly were slow-paced compared to the beginning. While it gained its footing at the end, the show wasn't exactly consistent.

I also thought it was a shame that Sarah's employee identity arc only lasted one episode. It was intense and emotional, and I actually thought it would be intriguing to explore how she shifted from her original personality to Sarah's persona. The show missed out on this potential.

Overall, I would rate this 8.2/10.

Not to be shallow, but... damn. Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jun Hyuk are HAWT in this show! And they have beautiful skin…
Anyways, 1 episode in and I like it -- actually I'm surprised because it isn't that dark (yet) and feels like a black comedy + mystery. And I'm not complaining because it's entertaining me

Why do I feel like their characters have a past together, which is why they felt so emotional while filming the scene where they met?

I watched both teasers again and idk if anyone noticed, but the outfit SHS is wearing in this still is the same…
Wow! Theory time... Maybe she tampered the crime scene to make the victim wear the same dress as hers, while she ran away with another identity? Cos clearly she isn't dead since SHS and LJH share the same scenes in one of teasers.

Park Shinhye should do more comedy, I'm laughing so much at her 😂 You people don't get it, her shamelessness to act like she's 20 when she obviously isn't is hilarious 😭

she was very good in see you in my 19th life, but that did have some darker elements
Yep I have watched that and I agree. But I feel that romances and thrillers require a different set of skills, as a whole.
