so frustrating but I loved it
I just felt like I had to write this review even tho it almost been 20 years since this drama aired .I LOVE OLDER DRAMAS , I’m the biggest sucker for older kdramas . they give me everything I want and the nostalgic vibes that I just love to watch .
“save the last dance for me” was definitely a special one . SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY . I was so touched by their love and the way its written so beautifully . since the start you will not get bored tbh it’s just full of chliches but 20 episodes of such a good drama and it’s moving so fast .
I’m not the biggest fan of amnesia plot especially when it’s double one here (😭) but if there’s something that I loved it’s the fact that kang hyun woo fell in love with ji eun soo even without his memories was so beautiful to watch I was stunned .
for the acting it’s not surprising that ji sung killed that role because that man is so talented and one of the best actors we have in this industry .. I felt in love with his character so quickly .
definitely some characters that made me so mad I almost exploded but that’s normal for a older kdrama
the second female lead was too much sometimes . I felt bad for her but then she just kept on and on and then she just became so annoying I couldn’t take that anymore . when she tried to khs ??💀 I was stunned by the way she was so desperate and didn’t care when he told her so many times that he didn’t love her … but at least towards the last episodes she was okay .
it’s just a great watch with a beautiful love story I’m so glad I watched it

it’s was definitely great experience .
since gmmtv 2023 line up and the pilot trailer I’ve been waiting for this one to air so bad . I was so excited to see something different from gmmtv other bl’s and only friends was definitely something new to me . since the first episode I was blown away . I was anxious about watching firstkhao new characters and them making out like that was a treat .as I’m biased here sandray was for sure the best couple , since the beginning I just loved their interactions and the way their story was told .
and ofc firstkhao amazing acting and chemistry just stole the show for me .
I felt so happy during sandray scenes it’s insane .. rewatching their scenes will definitely be my new hobbie until I get my firstkhao 2024 drama
LOVED SAND CHARACTER , ray also had his moments .
mostly hated the way ray treated sand most of the time (ayan could never🤞🏻) because my sand loved him so much since the start and deserved so much better but at the end ray realized he can’t live without his man (🤭) so it’s okay
for the other couples - top and new (force and book) it was my first drama with them so it was hard for me to get attached , their storyline was meh for me since the first episode when top just ask him to be his boyfriend so damn fast.. it’s a no for me . I’ve learned to like them only towards the end .
top was meh . and I just don’t know forcebook enough idk
and for nick and boston , I’m not unsatisfied or surprised at all that they didn’t finish together , actually I’m glad . I wanted them to work so badly but then I’m the last episode still Boston just failed me again , gone to get drinks but them making out with beoing? I was so mad . he needs to work on himself , for now he definitely need a lot more time to change . I’m glad sooooo glad nick chose himself.
LOVED NICK AND SAND FRIENDSHIP, THE BEST PART OF THE DRAMA FR
the entire cheating parts made me angry but it was definitely necessary here ,
mew made me mad most of the time for forgiving top but not Boston untill the last episode .
ray was an asssss for most of the time because of his obsession with me , was so glad it was over .
I wanted sand’s ex to come wayyy more early than the last few episodes . I wassss so happy it was played by mond because of my not me heart but again he came too late (at least they kissed 🤭) and he was an ass also so I’m glad it took them only 2 parts to get him out .
now it’s definitely have flaws , I was hating on every character (except sand my man😘) and the storyline was so messy I lost my mind , but at the end it was new and special , I liked that .

This drama gave me something I hadn’t felt from a K-drama in a long time.
Wow… what a journey this was. It’s been a very long time since I enjoyed a Korean drama this much. Watching My Royal Nemesis felt like stepping back into the era of K-dramas that made me fall in love with the genre in the first place. There was something incredibly nostalgic about it — from the storyline and the acting to the romance and the characters.
I loved the chemistry between the leads, the comedy was wonderful, and the pacing was exactly what I wanted it to be. The story kept moving forward in a way that kept me invested from beginning to end.
And Cha Se Gye… oh my god.
He has officially earned a place on my list of favorite “loser in love” K-drama men. He’s joining the ranks right next to Seon Jae. 😭
The way he loved her… the way he was so completely and hopelessly devoted to her… my heart was racing in every scene. Especially in the final episode. I cried right along with him. He moved me so much.
Honestly, I think we all deserve to be loved the way Cha Se Gye loved her.
I do think the beginning of the drama was stronger than the ending, and there were moments near the end where it felt like the story drifted away from what it originally was. Even so, I still think this drama was wonderful. I enjoyed every single episode and never found myself losing interest.
I would genuinely recommend this drama to everyone.
But I especially recommend it to longtime K-drama fans who, like me, have felt a little disappointed by recent releases and started losing hope after one too many letdowns.
My Royal Nemesis reminded me why I love K-dramas. It completely changed my mood and restored some of the excitement I felt I had lost.
And for that alone, it was worth the journey. 9.5/10❤️
