Have to agree with you, even the their (boxing couple) characters have solid backgrounds which the main CP does not have. This made the series really fell flat at the end.

Could have been great... if only side stories were shortened or abandoned and just focus on the main characters' storyline. T_T

Cinematography of EP 1 and 2 was soo good. This series version is more beefed than the first one. Love it!

Mai series version's back story is being seriously fleshed out, unlike the Mai novel version.

I think Mai here in the series is completely different from Mai in the novel, in terms of their circumstances and their story arc.

Not liking the Mai series version right now. But EP 6 was real good.

O btw, Palmy's song at the end of ep 10... was that a foreshadowing of the ending... or I'm just overthinking about it. T_T

Ep 10 was so good. Well this series is.
