The actors made that choice? -_- So, it was not the director's choice then.
And that choice ( if ever their choice had significant weight in the director/writers' decisions in the process of creating this series) made the series what it was after it ended. Gee, so sad.
One unwritten rule of an artist (of different kinds) is to create something as if it was your last. Every artists aims to create something epic. That way, there will be no regrets because you've given it your all. If you were saying that they (the team and artists of this show) choose to make a comedy bl that borders into mediocrity because it was a "goofy story with bonus love story," it just means just that. This series is mediocre.
But then again, I don't believe that was the case. As stated in my review, this could have been a great one. However, it did not deliver in the end. I don't know the reason why it did that way. BUT as for my viewing experience I felt that the series had: 1. Too may sub-plots due to to many pairings. 2. Limited screen time, again due to #1. 3. No character development as if the writer was confused which storyline is the main storyline. 4. Comedic scene should have been used sparingly or at least should have been a plot device and not the driving force to make the storyline progress. 5. Directing was jarring, specially transitions from setting to settings.
These are just my beefs with the show. :) And if what you've said was true, then that'll be #6. A movie/film/series have BTS team and Actors, each has their place. If one wants to be a direct a film, he can't be an actor for that. If one acts, he can't be a decision maker for the one he is acting on... unless they were the producers :)
And oh, I have no high expectations with BL series set in schools. Bye, Felicia!
