I don’t think that the fl is being unreasonable or unfair in any way, her actions are completely justified. What the ml did is incredibly cruel, devastating and would be very hard to forgive or move forward from irl. no matter how ’well intentioned’ his motives were, he was very wrong to do something so horrible and tragically painful. Yes he lost a sibling too, but that still doesn’t give him the right to do what he did. the fl’s grief at the loss of her friend should not be dismissed or downplayed just because he lost his biological twin brother whilst she ‘just lost a friend’, grief is not quantified and it can all coexist with one another. She may not be related to him but his passing was clearly very profound and painful for her. and that’s okay, you don’t have to be relatives in order to be allowed to fall apart when someone close to you passes away.

I have a degree in psychology so although I didn’t specialise in this particular topic, I still studied it enough to understand and talk about it objectively. So I can with certainty say that what you observed through your research is true, the fl does fall under the sociopathy category for all reasons you mentioned but also because with sociopathy though weak, there is still some capacity for an emotional connection (which in subtle ways is evident throughout the show with how the fl behaves towards the people who are important to her). This is one of the factors which ultimately differentiates psychopathy from sociopathy.

it’s so nice to see honestly. I really don’t like it when hidden gems aren’t given the recognition and appreciation that they deserve. I’m so glad that there’s a dedicated fan base supporting the show. I hope the cast and crew know how impactful their performances have been.

either that or people aren’t rating the show with consistency anymore, there may also still be haters lingering around waiting to lower any marginal increase in ratings or positive comments. I do agree that there are discrepancies in the rating system tho, there’s no measure in place to combat spam or antis or disingenuous responses.

I’ve not watched any of those, but I do suggest giving it a try, you may end up enjoying it. a lot of people myself included have really liked it. It’s a great show acting, cinematography and chemistry wise.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the show. I think the problem is that Gu yi has so far tried her best to be supportive and understanding of Liang daiwen’s alexithemia even at her own emotional expense at times, but he also has to accept his feelings and be truthful about them. It can be exhausting to be understanding at your own expense, while also having false hopes from the ml. I do think as the characters grow and evolve they will become better at communicating and understanding each other.

I think most review/comment sections are like this, there are some people who rate highly according to their opinion and preference and the opposite is also true. It is ultimately down to your own subjective opinion of whether or not you choose to continue with the show or not. The people that rate 10 or say good things believe the show to be great, could be taken into consideration but ultimately the decision comes down to your own personal preference. conversely there are people who rate lower and have criticisms about the show and are happy to show their discontent, so there is a balance of opinions if that’s what you’re seeking when deciding.

she really did give it her all, and I’m so glad that she’s receiving sm praise for this role. I do believe a lot of the jokes/humour may have been lost in translation, but as you rightfully pointed out Lian Daiwen is unknowingly so funny 😂you won’t miss out on some hilarious moments.

I remember thinking this while the show was still airing, I completely agree with you. there was never a one sided narrative here, it was always a complex build up of emotions and feelings that needed to be addressed for the characters to move forward and grow.

their relationship was so sweet, it’s the first time I’ve watched a portrayal of mother n daughter in a cdrama that is so genuine and heartwarming. My favourite part is that Da Meixia has a no nonsense attitude, she doesn’t hesitate to call Gu Yi out which leads to some comical scenes 😂 but overall makes their relationship even more endearing.
