I need more Yoo In Soo scenes ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Plssss...
This is understandable because Park Dang Gu is certainly Jang Uk's best friend, with a much better character than the selfish Seo Yul. Except that Park Dang Gu knows that Jang Uk has no interest in Jin Cho Yeon, he is quite clueless about Jang Uk's love interests.
Mu Deok has actually made it clear that she is taking advantage of Seo Yul, if there was ever anything like chemistry between the two, I think that is history. With the CP it's so obvious how she's taking advantage of him, she doesn't have to think or say that. It's a theme used countless times in dramaland that suddenly so many men are interested in a woman no one was interested in before, lol. The Hong sisters are also making fun of those who were happy about Mu Deok's three male options and are now upset that Jang Uk has other options too....

Max Planck Society - Empathy in Adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions
Compassion and sympathy are just as pronounced in autistic people as in healthy people. It was found that the autism group did indeed have difficulty correctly describing the emotions presented and had significantly lower cognitive empathy compared to the control group. However, both groups showed no difference in terms of emotional empathy. Compassion and sympathy were as pronounced in the autism group as in the control group. The use of the Multifaceted Empathy Test thus refuted the opinion of a general lack of empathic abilities in autistic people.
I think that answers a fundamental point in this drama when it comes to the relationships of Woo Young Woo.
CSS's strict mother flashes up sympathetically every now and then, she sets the tone in the house and has a life experience in certain things; okay, maybe not exactly in raising children. Some have said that CSS should have love experiences with her peers as a teenager, but I'm afraid at that time patchwork families were not yet common, except perhaps when one parent was widowed. Of course, CSS could have lived her boring life and we would not have had this drama...
This was another great episode with humorous interludes, Park Dang Gu to Jin Cho Yeon, oh almost no one knows about the marriage that did not take place...lol. Supporting characters like Joo Wol [Madam of Chwiseonru] played by Park So Jin or Kim Do Ju, who was at her best in this episode, can't go unmentioned. The duel was a big scam because they wanted to kill Jang Uk and spare the crown prince even though they both signed to fight to the death. Only an idiot would not pull a joker....
Once you get through the first 8 episodes without giving up, it gets a lot more interesting. CSS has what it takes…
...even though she is disappointed by the clingy Lou Yao and the sympathetic civilian officer uncle, inwardly reproaching them for taking the soldier's saying to heart: Soldiers who stay far away from the source of danger become old warriors.
Once you get through the first 8 episodes without giving up, it gets a lot more interesting. CSS has what it takes to be a military wife, she just doesn't realize it yet, ....
Episode 7 pulled everything back out of the uncreative drama quagmire that the Hong sisters have gotten into with drama themes that have been seen so many times before. Episode 7 was terrific...
The interactions between Seo Yul and Naksu are unbearably boring, humorless, long winded and cliched, just poorly written filler that you are happy to skip. And at some point enough is enough as everyone beats up on Jang Uk and hurts his feelings, the Hong sisters are bullies. Too bad for the interesting drama, but we still hope for improvement...
Interesting how much female sympathy the soul mate trio of Ou Yang Xu, Chi Yan Nei and yes even Zhou She receive. This drama seems to have all inclinations covered...lol
You give a lot of weight in your reviews to exceptional stories and a warm-hearted charisma of the drama and its actors. I really appreciate your reviews and your enthusiasm for dramas that create a feel-good effect. Thank you very much for that!
It's unbelievable how many mean things the Hong sisters inflict on Jang Uk in the first four episodes. But what…
For example, one meanness was Naksu's declaration of love for Seo Yul because they played together as children and she finds him attractive; Naksu has the emotional maturity of a 13-year-old. It's bearable because the Hong sisters parody love triangles in this drama, and I'm still convinced they're only putting Jang Uk through this steel bath for the sake of his character development. The drama thrives on the relationship between Naksu/Mu Deok and Jang Uk, I'm curious to see how this develops.
It's unbelievable how many mean things the Hong sisters inflict on Jang Uk in the first four episodes. But what doesn't kill him only makes him stronger...:
The first two episodes were really fun, high quality production, a good and exciting storyline, young talented actors, with some humor and carried by the interesting relationship dynamic between Mu Deok and Jang Uk; a rating of 9.5 is not too high at the moment.
The husband of Hong Ye Sul's college friend should definitely have his possible paternity confirmed by a DNA test. The family scene with Lee Pil Yo and the baby speaks volumes. It is disgusting how intrusive Lee Pil Yo is around the wife and baby he seems to visit daily. The husband should give Lee Pil Yo a kick in the butt.
