The first half of the episode about the past was entertaining. But the second half in current day was meh.

I don’t think it was a fan, but I’ve read the book too and I agree that they’re following the book fairly closely. But, there are some differences too, which imo are improvements. We’ll just have to wait and see!

I read somewhere that the series will end differently than the book.

The stuff is hitting the fan next episode. I really liked Dr Wan this episode.

I actually find the 2 moms in the series more interesting and better actors. Can they get together?

Chet is so dense! Boy is he in for a surprise! I have to say that my 2 favorite scenes were 1 the love scene - wow is all I can say. Romantic and intense. 2- I loved Anueng cooking with, and winning over Aunty Nim. So sweet! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this series is just outstanding!

I think they’re going to get caught probably by Chet, who’s not going to take it well.

I think this scene of emotional intimacy was so powerful, even more than the sexy scenes. Not that I don’t enjoy them, but Arnueng’s vulnerability and really letting Anueng in was both sad and beautiful. Bravo.

I just rated this show a ten. If I could rate it higher I would, because it’s just that good!

I want to like this but so far no- it’s dull with a thin plot. Fay’s affect is so flat- on purpose? Not sure. I’ll hang in there because I want to support GL’s but sheesh!

Agree- the level of acting and chemistry just elevates this whole series. And there’s a poignancy about this connection between these two who were so alone and who now make each other so happy.

I couldn’t agree more. This was just so good, well acted and quite beautiful and moving. This is easily the best gl I’ve seen and one of the series I’ve seen ever. I second the thanks for the improved subtitles. I’ll be watching this episode again.

The acting classes were boring. I liked the reference to Gap but… the second half of the episode was better.

I agree completely. I’m really looking forward to the elder Nueng showing more emotion and the couple’s closeness. They are following the book but they’ll leave the bdsm hinted at imo.

Yoko is also a really good actor. She and Faye both are. I believe them in every scene- episode 6 3&4 were outstanding.

I have tried to get into this show but just can’t. I don’t like crime shows anyway. The fight scenes are endless. I find I don’t care if the 2 leads get together or not. Production value is high and everybody is good looking. What is with all the nudity? Gratuitous imo.
