The begining and concept of this drama were awesome, but I'm getting disappointed by the direction that it takes.…
I understand your point of view and I agree that they could have made it more original but on the other hand I think that they want to show us that every character is the protagonist of his own life. The main plot of the manhwa Secret is still revolving around Namju and Juda nevertheless also Danho, Haru and Baekyung are living their own love story in the background. Even if they aren't the main characters they also can have their love triangle. It depends on which point of view you watch the story and you realise that each one of them can have an interesting life. That's how I interpreted it

The friendship between Danoh, Haru and Dohwa is the best thing of this show! I'm totally in love with their interaction!

I think it'very funny the way the characters that are aware of themselves make fun of the main TYPICAL romance during "shadow" times! They finally admit that 90% of the romantic dramas has exactly the same plot and they joke around about it in a smart way!

I'm a big fun of Haru character... he's sweet, smart and manly at the same time!
I like Kyung too, I think he's not actually a bad person and I pity him for his relationship with his father, but he's really bad as a boyfriend. I don't really understand how many people can root for him considering that he's rude, aggressive and mean with Danoh all the time.

Yang Se Jong being listed first on the cast list means he's the main lead. Leading lady's heart already belongs…
Good! Gaksital is one of my favourite dramas of all time so I think I will give it a chance, thank you! Anyway I was hoping it was WDH the main lead tbh ????

I'm sensing that se jong will be the "Real" protagonist.
Oh so it's him, okay... thank you!

I'm so disappointed by the choice of the actor playing Harvey character! He should be arrogant but sarcastic. I love his mocking facial expressions and sly attitude! I'm sorry but the korean one is not at his level at all.
Anyway the drama is very good and PHS is as always an amazing actor!

Pretty sad, but not as sad as the Japanese original drama
Even if marked as tragedy usually korean drama tend to have happy ending, that's why i'm asking...

nauseating, cringey, nasal voice, so childish that looks almost retarded. Sorry .... Joy go back to dance.
I don't know what you are talking about.
I just said your words "nauseating, cringey, nasal voice, so childish that looks almost RETARDED" were too much.
Is it that wrong?

It's exactly the opposite. It's not a generalization, it's korean cultue. Not all the girls are obviously the same but they culturally tend to be cute and naive. And of course I like this kind of culture, that's why I lived in Seoul for 2 years now...
I don't like seeing your harsh words related to a girl like Joy.
You can just say that you don't like her acting.

I think you just need to relax a bit...........
I don't like Red Velvet and I don't like Joy acting. I'm just saying that the features you listed as "nauseating" describe the typical korean girl...

Considering that almost every korean girl tends to look childish and has a nasal voice I always wonder why people watch korean dramas if they're expecting something intellectual and strong from them.
You can not like that kind of girl but calling her "distusting" and "nauseating" it's a bit too much...

All of them are broken, and they all deceivers remember first episodes all their manipulative plans, you forgot…
Yeah I remember everything. Like I said they are all bad in their own way because each one of them has a difficult story.
I'm just saying that I find unrealistic and bad written Sooji character because I don't see any different shade, any big emotion... she's evil with everyone around her. Her character is just twodimensional. It was a disappointment because I was expecting something deeper from her. They are making her just as a typical korean antagonist... without any interesting background or big reason to do what she is doing.
Anyway I'm not criticizing the actress, I can see she is better than Joy, I'm criticizing the poor writing.
I prefer bit*her but more complex character than the superficial typical hyena they're showing us.

p.s. Actually SH didn't agree with her at first about the plan to seduce TH, that's why they started that useless bet.

I can't help it, I don't really like Sooji character.
I think the plot is generally badly written but I still find the drama interesting to watch. If I analyse all the characters I can see different shades on their personalities except that on Sooji.

Taehee is the typical good girl, sweet and smart that is supposed to get the guy in the end.
I don't see anything special but her character is understandable. She wants to look like a strong girl who doesn't believe in love , but she's actually a naive girl approached by a good looking and charming guy that falls for him in no time... I can understand her after all...
She tries hard to get close to him even though she's not sure about his feelings. Now her partents story is opening her eyes and I really appreciated her in the last episode when she decided to tell everything to SH and break up with him.

Sihyun has the worst parents story. He's totally alone. That's why he is so loyal to his two freinds and that's why he is falling for TH so easly. I think he sees her as a breath of fresh air and he's now regretting what he's doing to her.
He's ambiguous and cold but you can also see a good and sweet side of him.

Sejoo is one of my favourites. He pretends to be happy and superficial all the time but it's obviously a way to just hide his pain. I like the scenes with Sooji... when he says serious things and then suddenly changes his tone to a playful one. And he's so protective of Sooji, he's clearly in love with her.

And Sooji? What is Sooji? She's bad with everybody around her. She keeps yelling at Sejoo and is not considerate of him at all.
She started this bet thing for NO REASON and she's now evil with her best friend pretending to be in love with him. If you loved him then why didn't you want to marry him?
She's mean and fake with TH and her friend just for fun.
People see her as deep and interesting... WHY? Just because she is unkind this makes her automatically an interesting person? I can't see anything else if not random bad actions. And anyway... she's not the only one suffering...

The original bet they made (shihyun and sooji) was that if he broke tae he's heart then she would consider marrying…
I agree with you with everything you said but still i think that the plot is very bad written. As the episodes keep going i start forgetting the real reason of this bet, because she didn't seem so in love with that ex boyfriend that was showed like about 2 minutes until now, and anyway this revenge can't be more important than her feelings for Sihyun or the revenge on their parents.
And i don't really get how they feel about each others. Is Sooji in love with Sihyun? Then why she doesn't want to marry him? Sihyun is now starting liking Taehee but until yesterday he was clearly obsessed just by Sooji.
It's just that... everything looks so tragic: the parents situation, the marriage, the troubled past... but in the end the story seems just reduced to the ex useless boyfriend's revenge. It makes no sense for me.
