I think it's because of how they acted well on their roles. They established the chemistry that was lacking between Kijima and Kuzumi. I don't know if it just me, but I felt that the actor portraying Kuzumi was kind of awkward. Which then greatly affected the overall story and feel in Pornographer.

Yeah, I think so too. It seems that Kurosawa has never done it with anyone, but he never had the magic.

We can only assume the following:
1. He's below 30 years old.
2. He's not a virgin anymore.
3. There are more conditions to meet to have the same magic as Adachi and Tsuge.

Well, these are just assumptions. I never read the manga and will never be. I want this adaptation to be the only memory of this story in my head. (lol)

I would say that the confession of Adachi to Kurosawa is not 'love' (yet)but rather 'like' only.
