I think that the lazy writing was to make Knock seem so bad that Korn's cheating will be forgivable. Even with this, Knock stepped forward and came out to his parents, proving that his relationship means something to him, even if he isn't always the perfect partner, he is ride or die. The writers could have created tension by having Korn and Knock fight for their relationship together (Together with Me??), with Knock's parents as allies. In real life, many partners work together. I just read about a college student who turned down her parent's demands to go through therapy or be disowned, because she has a girlfriend. She refused even though she only had $20 to her name. She was willing to take the risk to be who she is. Her story has a happy ending. Korn and Knock could have been examples for young LGBTQI+ young adults who struggle with family issues.
I would love it if Pleng was behind this! The actor who played Mew is on this cast list so I wonder what his role…
This series had great potential to show REAL LIFE, by addressing Farm's sexual assault, the sexism Fai is experiencing, and a couple coming out to their families. It would show viewers, especially others going through similar situations that they are not alone.
I don't think that Korn and Knock will permanently break up. I'm only assuming this because I've seen publicity stills of K&K with their respective parents in a group photo.
Yihwa wasn't needed this season. Her role has taken on an annoying tone. What was cute for a college dorm mate is irritating in a work colleague. Just my opinion.
Put under spoiler tag for length and in case somebody thinks that I'm serious. I'm entertaining myself until Episode 9 because this season is imploding. Since this season is almost camp I thought of an alternate version of the preview. This is for entertainment purposes only. Inspo was the preview on YT of Pete coming on to Knock, and the "will Knock also cheat with Pete?" (as some YT commenters pointed out, Knock wouldn't be cheating since he broke up with Korn) setup to make us watch the next episode.
Episode 9 Preview 1. Knock grabs Pete's shirt and asks, "what did you and Korn do?" Pete rubs Knock's arm and gives him a look. -Knock stands up, throws his hands in the air and yells (to the ceiling), "I can't believe that Korn fell for this shit! What an idiot!" -Knock looks at Pete and says, "We broke up, you can have him." Knock leaves, slamming the door. -Pete calls Wanwan who is the younger sister of Plern Pleng and says in a sinister voice, "Knock is all yours. We've won!" They laugh together. The other fan group fujoshi steps out from behind a wall (having overheard Wanwan's conversation) with a concerned look on her face.
2. Bonus Flashback (since they didn't show this) - Korn's dad is collapsed and Wanwan is helping him. Dad realizes that Korn isn't going to fall for his act, gets up, says goodbye and tells them that he rented the apartment next door for dramatic entrance purposes.
3. Yiwa has a somewhat guilty conscience and Cho strokes her hair. Later, Cho receives a phone call from Art's girlfriend Mint letting him know what's going on and tells Cho that Art always flirts with his subordinates. She lets Cho know that if Art and Yiwa dumps them to be together, she and Cho can join forces to plot revenge. Mint tells Cho that she has a younger sister (Wanwan) who is good with social media and a university classmate named Pete who knows all about setting people up. Meanwhile, Cho realizes that Fai is kind of cute...
4. Farm coos about Rit in front of Dr. Bright and Bright acknowledges that Rit is cute. Farm starts to realize that his revenge plot is having a problem. Is he jealous that Bright thinks that Rit is cute or is he being protective of Rit? -A lightbulb emoji flashes above Rit's head. Rit breaks up with Farm then tells Farm and Bright that he will not be used in whatever game they're playing. While Farm and Bright are staring with mouths open, Rit grabs his backpack and confidently marches out the door. -As Rit is exiting the hospital reflecting on what just took place, he almost gets hit by a guy riding a bicycle. The bike rider is a LBC fanboy and can't believe his luck.

The fangirl/Pete alliance was unexpected but it showed that she really fell for Knock, and now she is being a yandere light. I'm still trying to figure out if Pete wants Korn or if he is just enjoying the game, or if he really wants Knock. I hope that Jay is more than he seems. It would be disappointing to find out that he is just a bully.
I also can't stand that this season shows that men/women cannot work together without fooling around. I'm wondering how Art's girlfriend, Mint plays into this since she seems like the most understanding girlfriend in the world.
It's too bad that the writers didn't drum up drama by having Korn and Knock work through their problems like adults (how Knock offered to go with Korn to come out to his dad). Korn and Knock could be crying over the father's reaction, but supporting one another instead of the cheating situation. It would show other people going through this situation that even if you're afraid, you can still have each other, then have Korn's father come to accept his son. They had such an opportunity to normalize these relationships, but chose to spend it on cheating drama instead.
I'm just going to say it....these comments are better than the show! I hadn't laughed until I cried in a while.…
I would love it if Pleng was behind this! The actor who played Mew is on this cast list so I wonder what his role is. Is he going to try to get Korn back again? Taunt Korn for being just as bad as he was? I was hoping that Jay was secretly in love with Pete, causing him to hate Korn and Knock. This season is just so cliche that it may happen.
Knock cheated on Korn before, and Korn stood by him.
Both Knock and Korn were cheaters in that situation. Korn was the one cheating with Knock, and he knew Knock had a girlfriend. I'm not trying to justify Knock's or Korn's previous behavior, but I think the two relationships were at different levels. I love that Korn is getting it hard from Knock right now, but if Korn doesn't run to other guys "for comfort", and tries to do his best, I can see them working it out. Knock just needs to be alone to decide if he wants to give him that chance.
In the novel - Pete break up with Ae to save him - cause Pete's father wanted to break Ae and Pete. Pete's father…
I thought that Ae may have been asexual because most young men get the physcal reaction way earlier than the emotionaL, but demisexual is more accurate.
I can't stop crying seeing them fight. Is Knock going to cheat too?
I don't think so but with this season's plotlines, who knows. I was hoping that Knock is Pete's goal and that Knock tells Pete that he needs to stop. Since Korn's cheating brought the twisted side of me out, I'm also hoping that Jay is secretly in love with Pete, and that's why he's so hostile to Korn and Knock. We'll see next week.
Oh man I think this episode by far has made me the most angry. First of all I HATE that damn manager Pete. He’s…
Don't hate me, but I was hoping that Pete's true target is Knock and that Korn is just collateral damage. I still don't know if that's the case, but we'll see next week. I agree about Cho, I wonder if he wants to take his own advice concerning Yihwa.
Knock's mood change is because he did something liberating and he felt great and it showed in his behavior. Korn pushing money on Knock is also a behavior change, due to guilt and shame. I think the writers have written Knock to be such a loser that Korn had to be the partner to fall from grace. Remember that Knock swam across that river for Korn - he is willing to make ultimate sacrifices for Korn, but Korn doesn't reciprocate. He just gives money and enables bad behavior.
They will end up together because they will prove that they are the couple who can survive infidelity. If the writers take a smart pill, they will make up, then do a time jump so that the viewers know they've been working on their relationship.
A few things from today's episode....I don't comment much because I don't want to offend anyone so please remember…
I think that we can discuss and disagree civiIly. I agree about Wanawan, but I disagree that about Korn. He deserved every bit of what Knock (just him, not Wanwan or the dad) gave him. I love how Korn didn't answer Knock's question about it being okay for Knock to cheat since it was only sex. He also didn't answer Knock's question about is this the way he will solve problems in the future. I give credit to Korn that he didn't lie when Knock asked the question, but it was also obvious that Knock did not see that coming from Korn either.
Knock has been distant because he has been marginalized by Korn. So Knock took action to make their relationship solid by coming out and proving to Korn that he is worth the risk. That's why he was so happy and it showed in his behavior. Sometimes accomplishing something, especially for the person you love can make you the happiest.
I also give major acting kudos to Max, because being the villain for the first time in this 2 year run must have been a challenge. Knock has always been the "bad" partner, so this must have been strange for both of them. It will work out in the end, but Korn better answer Knock's 2 questions.
I'm going to play devil's advocate here and try to see things from Korn's side.Knock wants Korn to come out to…
It's crazy to me too, but your Japanese friend must have his reasons. Maybe they have health problems or maybe they know, but like I said, everybody is pretending for the sake of each other, just like Korn's father knows the truth. If they come to the states every three years, they must be asking why he isn't married, why he doesn't have a girlfriend, etc. The difference is, he and his husband made this decision as a couple and it works for them. I hope that he tells his parents someday because maybe they will love his husband. Or at least start with "roommate" so that they get to know him. I believe that most parents just want their child to be happy. That's why I give Knock credit for coming out to both of his parents at one time. He could have lost both, but he was willing to take that risk.

I read your reply upthread and I'm glad that your gay Korean friend hasn't gone home to marry a woman. I just hope that he has legal status to stay in the states so that he doesn't have to go back to be pressured. Yes, there are people who live in the closet, but I have never seen anybody kick their partner out to accommodate their family, or arrange a fake girlfriend. In Asian cultures we also have a concept where we all know what the truth is, but do not speak it. Like when I smoked, I never did it in front of my family, but I'm sure they could smell it on me. That's how some semi-opaque gay closets are.
You're right about the high drama, but it seems like lazy drama as well. I'm glad that you're enjoying the drama. I will too if Knock rips Korn's shirt pocket during their tussle and he throws Korn's ring at him.
Let’s me ask y’all this, have you think this cheating situation in vice versa? That will what happen if Knock…
People would be just as upset with Knock because Korn is the "nice guy" in this series. Actually, I think that people would be more upset because Knock knows that Korn has been cheated on before and Knock is written as lazy and childish. I'm not going to lie, but I'm somewhat surprised by how upset the fans are since these are fictional characters. I think that it's partly because they have the fan meets and fan services, so fans are more invested emotionally than in other countries where we don't have access to our celebrities. I enjoy the discussions, but I didn't leave a bad review and will continue to watch, although no longer care if the couples break up.

Since the director owns the screen rights, he can shorten the amount of episodes where they are apart and do a time adjustment.
