This biggest flaw in this series is, they lost their sexuality once they mutually loved each other due the constant running and chasing. Overall I enjoyed this series, but would have like to have seen more tenderness to cover for the coldness.
I haven't watched Ep 6 yet, but this show must be very popular in Thailand because I just watched New and Tay reenact a scene from Me and Thee. It was so hilarious and cute to see New be Thee.
I really like this series and I'm enjoying the Likay parts. I've never seen Likay shows, and I have been to Thailand, but maybe not in places where Likay is popular.
Just watched Ep 1 and was not pulled in, and I think it's partly because of the acting. Then I saw who the author is, and I know this is an unpopular opinion, he is not one of my favorites. I purchased his first two books translated to English back in the day and his writing style just doesn't draw me in. I will stick with it a few more episodes since the viewers liked the adaptation.
watched first 30 minutes and gave up. wasn't feeling it. i feel trailer offered us more. just my opinion.
I think this movie is more of a treat for those of us who read the manga series, which is still ongoing. We've had years to get to know Sugiki and Suzuki and their passion for dance, so it may be different as just a stand alone movie. The manga series started in 2011 and it took literal years for the first kiss. Your opinion is understandable though.
Disappointed. I'm a huge fan of dance movies, and I could not even say I enjoy the dance parts of 10Dance, since…
The manga focuses on dance and the dancers, not the romance, even though there is undercurrent. It took several years before they even kissed, and the manga series is not complete. I think the mistake was doing a movie instead of a series to convey the feelings, but I also think that 2025 audiences, not familiar with the manga would have gotten bored.
This is a very Japanese story that captures the spirit of ganbaru. The competition is international, and the dance style is European. Japanese skaters do not lose being Japanese just because they figure skate. Midori Ito was the first woman to successfully land a triple axel in competition, even though she is a Japanese in a "white" sport. I think it's very Japanese to do your best and work toward success. It's more western to whine and complain about how unfair things are and have a pity party with all of the oppression points.
I haven't watched this yet, but have read the manga series for years. Although Machida is a dead ringer for the manga and I'm sure he spent many painful weeks perfecting his posture, I'm really scared to watch this. I'm afraid that 2025 producers will ruin the magic of this series that started in 2011 with preaching, grandstanding and getting overly emotional about everything, when the dancing and the personal stories of both Shinyas through dance are what is important. I commented a few weeks ago that I expect the, "it's too slow" and "there's too much dancing," so I'm prepared for that. The comments here make me feel much better. Thank you.
I saw that even someone who expressed their honest review for this show got attacked so I’m not even gonna be…
I think you are misusing the word diabolical. Just because some people think this show is a masterpiece does not mean they have evil or negative intent.
I love this series, but I don't consider many series or movies made after 1960 a masterpiece. So while I would not call it a masterpiece, I think it's funny and enjoyable. I love this show because it shows two men from totally different backgrounds meeting mostly in the middle, skewed toward Peach's side, but Thee is showing that a person can be very lonely, even when surrounded by many people who cater to his needs, and nothing in life is denied to him. He has his persona to help him cope with having his life mapped out for him and is doing the best he can. Peach has had to care for his younger sister, abusive family, and that character archetype is way more familiar. I think that Pond is doing a great job exposing Thee's layers, which is why I like this show so much.
Although I wish that GMMTV did not make the actors lose so much weight, especially Pond, I love this show! I especially like how Pond is really breathing life into Thee from syndicate boss, to showing his loneliness and vulnerability.
the story and the production is awfulll it makes it hard to watch /: i’m not dropping it bec pondphuwin and…
I understand because there are popular shows I can't watch. I love this show, but I read the novel before it aired and I understand Thee more than the episodes have revealed. Peach is the person who teaches Thee that he doesn't have to be a character or caricature, he can be himself. That's why Thee lost interest in Aran so fast, because it wasn't genuine. Peach comes off a little preachy in the series, probably due to direction, but Peach lives his live by his own terms, such as only signing a contract for the Winter Collection and how he refuses to be treated. I hope you find a better series to watch.
I really enjoyed the series. I read the novel prior to watching this, and they did cut and change some things, but overall, it was a good adaptation. This is the first series where Park has played a high maintenance character, so I didn't realize how handsome he is. I hope to see Park and Big in another series.
Except for the actor playing the father, the acting was all around bad, so it balanced itself out. The JGV style sex was a little too much for Takato's sad story, but the JGV style also made Takato having sex with Satoshi not like real cheating because in porn, any reason is a reason to have sex.
I really liked this series! Even though I didn't recognize who Silp was drawing and I would have like to have seen more of the third couple, I appreciated that Phurit admitted being confused about what he had seen. Maybe if Nawa was able to tell him, it would not have been so jarring, it's understandable. It's too bad about Phrapai. Maybe he is more evil in the novel, but I just felt bad about his death. I hope to see this cast in other projects.
This series is a fashion-focused drama, so it makes sense that the spotlight is mainly on the visual side rather…
It's hard for me to differentiate because people into punk for looks would have been called poseurs. The clothing and look was an extension of the music, not the other way around. It would be like in 15 years where people say they dress "hip hop" but do not listen to the music, people around today would think it's cosplay. It would have been better had they not used the word "punk" but then I have to understand it's Japan, a country well known for surface level imitation. I was in university when Black American culture was imitated and Japanese scholars complained of surface level imitation, based on looks, fashion and music, without understanding the Foundational Black American culture. Same for punk just being about clothes and look, not the underground music originating in the United States, resonating and blowing up with the working class youth in England, then traveling globally. There were punk bands in Japan back then too.
