I have a little bit of a different take on Tai. To be honest, I've been around my fair share of young, gay men, especially before AIDS, and yes, back in the bar scene, I learned that the "Women" sign on the restroom was probably just required by law. I think it's kind of nice to see a younger man not want to jump into full intercourse right away. I don't think he hates sex, but is just not ready to have intercourse. As my gay BIL told me back in the day, not all gay couples have anal sex. Some rarely have it, some never. It was my heterosexual point of view that all men want to put it in, each and every time. I do think that Tai and Pat will eventually get to it, but after seeing Pat kissing Nara back (I saw his lips pucker) Pat is going to have to wait even longer, since Tai has emotional baggage around his soul male parents getting a divorce.

I agree with you about Lomfon and Tien. Although I know that Tien will be the keychain owner, it's still nice to see them slowly getting feelings for each other.

Kawi is still confused and is still stuck on stupid. Pisaeng on the other hand, has figured things out.

Do you think this show would be as good/better/worse if Mike were still playing Pisaeng? When I watched the old trailer (through a reaction channel since GMM took it down), I noticed that Mike is also high energy, and it may have been too overwhelming for the viewer. I can't help but wonder what this series would be like with Krist and Mike though. I really like the Krist and Gawin energy and think the chemistry will get even better once Kawi gets off the stuck on stupid train.

I like all of the series you mentioned, and I also like this series. The book is a slooooooow burn, then BAM! goes lovey-dovey and very sexy. I guess they are following the source material a little too closely. A Thai YouTuber who reviewed the book a year ago said that she struggled to get through the first part, and it took her a long time to read it, so you are not alone.

Or relentless angst from beginning to end. That's MDL though.

In addition to what the other poster said, instead of the little girl asking about Yutaka, a school friend asks about who he is, and we find out that Yutaka has moved in with the family. Yutaka and Tane drink hot chocolate and Yutakea reminisces about Tane getting so big, but will always be little Tane to him. In the extra, Tane only uses the name "Yutaka" so we know that he is growing up. I would have like to have seen this instead of Yutaka rolling on his bed.

I watched and really enjoyed The Eighth Sense.

Although I prefer the manga's ending, this was a very nicely done slice of life series. Japanese BL does slice of life very well, and the actors did a great job with the adaptation.

This wasn't as bad as most Korean BL. The kisses had some movement to them, and there wasn't the overt revulsion we usually see during intimate scenes in KBL. I thought the acting was very good. Cho Hyun Min is very good using facial expressions, and can look like a completely different person at times. This story could have turned into a big melodrama about Lee Jun's past, and I was glad to see they didn't take it there for the angst factor. My biggest complaint is, they often used too much lipstick on the Ha Ram character's lips. It was distracting because they did many closeups and his lips were made overly feminine to me.

I know that we have to go through Pat and Put being together for a while. I just hope they don't waste 4 episodes on it. Hopefully they will wrap it up next episode.

There is a major cultural issue as well. Pat lost face big time in front of his work colleagues and others on the set. In Thailand, it is considered very bad behavior to yell and berate another person publicly. Most Asian cultures have the shame factor to deal with as well, so yes, I totally understand Pat breaking down, and why he did it alone. That's why Jeng gave her a hard time in front of everyone as well. Everyone, including the lady knew he was making her look bad, so at least she got some payback.

I haven't started this because I have doubts. Is this more suited for teens? I want to support New, but a fandom comedy seems like the series is geared toward teens rather than adults. Thanks in advance.

I agree. They should have just made a brand new series, with Miko playing a dude named Joe, or anything else. They could keep the name My Story and viewers can have our Sky and Ace love story.

Zeke and Fifth's story is really good. They have dumb fights, but who didn't at this age. They talk about their conflicts and are open with their feelings. Sky and Win are almost comedic in the dumb plot lines, like Sky getting locked in a bathroom all night. Make sure you fast forward through the Ms. Becky storyline too. It sucks. Just my opinion.

Not off to a great start. Everything that was supposed to be mysterious was more hokey to me. The barista with the skeleton key necklace and her strong arming Thana was not mysterious. I just watched the cartoon video of Cher's song Dark Lady and the scene in the coffee shop reminded me of the cartoon. I hope that this show gets better.

Projects from Korea have big budgets, great cinematography, but are terrible at storytelling, acting and intimacy. I'd rather watch a low budget show out of Vietnam or the Philippines. I thought this series would be a nice change, but once again, it was just a showcase for pretty faces. Hopefully they turn it around, but I have been disappointed many times. I broke my rule of watching KBL while in serialization, rather than waiting to wait for the reviews. I got suckered after watching The Eight Sense, which was the exception to the mostly terrible KBLs.

I don't feel sorry for Mintra, except that her mother got sick. She is not in a real relationship with Korn, just a fake contract relationship, and she is crossing boundaries by getting feelings for him. She needs to keep her legs closed and let Korn use someone else for sex. She needs to have some dignity instead of being a delulu.

They obviously did not listen to/read the conversation between Korn and Mintra where it is clearly stated that they are a pretend couple by contract. Even though he had sex with both, he is not attached to Mintra or Pawin.

The Ms. Becky subplot is really bad. Ms. Becky worked for Ace, so why is she still here? That gym guy situation is really dumb. I'm an outlier, but I like Rainbow Prince, and the are just wasting Drake. I'm tired of Chukchuk getting lost in every Oxin series.
