...can precum be used instead of lube? I've seen spit be used elsewhere. Thing is we saw Phayu whom we assume…
I am not mocking you, I'm letting you know this since writing is without tone and body language. The anal tract cannot self-lubricate like a vagina because unlike the vagina, it was meant to excrete waste, while the vagina is a multi-purpose organ. Males have a prostate, so when they engage in anal, there is possibility that the prostate can be stimulated during intercourse, thus producing a pleasurable sensation. I don't know of this personally since I do not have a prostate, but gay men educated me when I was young and asked, "why the hell?!?'

The condom was probably lubed (but they should have applied more) and during an intense scene, the are not going to interrupt during an intense moment. I think applying lube and stroking would get them a strike. With the condom on, we would hear every "preparatory" stroke. We don't see hear or see the penis plopping out of holes, or making farting or squelching sounds (all of this applies to vaginal in MxF series), during love scenes either. It's supposed to be romantic, while pleasing the people who will have a stroke over non-safe sex.

I would love to see this pair in a live action version of Aitsu no Diahonmei - His Favorite. I think that Oriyama would make a great Yoshida, with help from makeup.

Full disclosure, I am biased toward the bully trope and it's clear from the start that Phayu loves Rain, it's Rain who hasn't caught up to his feelings. Even in Episode 5, he still insists that he likes Ple, at least when asked about it directly, but his actions speak for his feelings. When Rain is determined, he does not submit. An example is, when told to stay away, he decides on his own, without manipulation to show up, and stay without permission. I see that as feistiness, spirit and independence, which Phayu likes. People at the garage love Rain too, and I think are secretly rooting for him, with Saifa being an overt ally.

I see Rain's tentativeness before sex as being anxious of the unknown. Prostate aside, it's pretty intimidating to think of having anal for the first time, especially when the thought had not crossed his mind before meeting Phayu. I don't care how worked up a person is, unless they've have used toys, or experimented, I think it can be a scary thought.

I love this series and I can't wait for the Praphai and Sky arc to begin.

Beautiful series. The butterflies gave it away, and I ended up not caring about the how and why.

The antis only hate fan service when it isn’t masc4masc men abusing each other. Men being decent human beings…
I understand now, the business model. It's sad but true.

Japan has had an idol system for decades and my favorite idol was Yukiko Okada, who committed suicide in 1986. A few years prior to her suicide, there were scandals which is why they instituted the no dating policy for J-Idol talent. Okada was only in the industry for a little over 2 years but she made 6 albums, multiple commercials, TV appearances, concerts, had a radio show, etc., all while going to high school. She committed suicide right after graduating from high school, and til today, her reasons have not been made public. When I first heard Okada's voice, I thought it was nothing special, since her contemporaries were Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper, etc. As I started to watch her, knowing that most if not all of her vocal were sang live, I fell hard for her consistency and hard work.

I am more familiar with Japan and Japanese culture, not Korean, but it seems like there's a lot of cross over between Japanese and Korean entertainment models. I'm just thankful that Japan hasn't adopted the fan service option as of yet. When the actors are together, they are interviewed as actors, not a ship. Now that Thai BL has made more traction in the Japan market, I hope this doesn't change.

I'm glad to have met a fellow nerd to discuss this stuff with here.

I enjoyed Ep 11. It's time for both Shin and Akira to face reality about their futures and their relationships. I understand that Akira wants to be a responsible adult, but he will need to act like a mature adult to make this happen. Shintaro is moving forward and that's a good think. Asuka deciding to take over the family business, but not giving up on Shuu-san without talking to him is also brave. Maybe the Sakuma brothers are extra dense, but why would a high school senior, in Tokyo, spend the day streaming architecture, when he could be in an arcade? Do the math Shuu-san! I hope that Shuu-san reciprocates his feelings, but with his poker demeanor, I'm not sure.

This show is wonderful and frustrating because the characters have flaws like real people. Akira being a Japanese man, from a small town, wants to be the responsible adult, but this conflicts with his feelings. I hope that he follows his heart though. Shin can be a doctor anywhere, even in their town.

Thanks for responding, and I largely agree with you. I disagree with the genesis being through K-Pop though. I've only noticed K-Pop fans in the BL space in the last 2-3 years. I am not into K-Pop, and while I like BTS, I would not call myself Army. Before that, most of us were from the Japanese BL manga sphere. J-Pop groups like Arashi, SMAP, etc., had their shippers but I don't like shipping real people and was never into that. Even shounen anime such as Shingeki no Kyojin has ships, so I knew who Eren, Levi and Erwin were from slash ships that Japanese mangaka drew before even knowing about SNK.

The first more sexualized fan service that I saw was out of China. They would have interviews or fan meets and imply that the main couples were couples in real life. Before China passed laws against gay and BL content, they were the ground breakers in producing live action, adult oriented BL. Prior to this, Japan and other countries mostly produced dead fish, Ken doll kiss BL, or one of the partners had to end up in the cemetery.

BL manga/doujinshi readers were relatively tolerant of the different kinks people have. Some translation groups would not work on manga with rape, and they would be clear about it without trying to make people feel like dirt because they read them. Ironically, mentioning Korea, I feel some Korean BL webtoons are some of the most violent, perverse works in modern BL, yet BL readers chug copious amounts of webtoons, and probably some of the same come to MDL and cry about toxicity in BL.

I personally feel ambivalent about fan service. The wages in Thailand are very low, and I do not blame the actors, who are mostly straight, going into character, and getting hired by different companies to promote their products. I personally do not like when actors are pressured into touching each other, but I can't fault the actors for making money when they have the opportunity. It's the self-righteousness of the fans that annoy me.

Sorry for the long post, but I do not have anyone to geek out on in real life about BL. I will watch the video at a later date. It's quite long and I will not understand the K-Pop stuff, so I will have to listen to it. Thank you for sharing it.

That's a good guess. I never considered that connection.
I'm just trying to figure out why the twins, Leon and Natsu would be there. I just looked at the full cast list yesterday, and I know that Mame loves to overlap her universes. I'm probably wrong because I'm not good at red herrings.

I get you, but fan service is still fan service, serving to stimulate the fans with giving them a fantasy that will activate their gonads. Three hot bodyguards passing Lop back and forth in the shower, then making them a "committed" throuple, "in love" and in a happy poly relationship, is total fan service. Many BL fans love 3P, and they gave it to them.

Maybe Parek (I think that's his name) from the novel is the father of the twins from Don't Say No. They come from a mafia family. I love this show and can't wait for tomorrow.
On Unforgotten Night Sep 7, 2022
I loved this series from the beginning, and liked that they added the surprise party. It wasn't in the novel, but maybe it was in extra chapters. I like when a cold character falls fast and hard for the normal guy. I'm hoping they will have a series about Kom and Baiboon, but they will need to age Baiboon up because some international BL viewers do not know the age of consent in Thailand, and cannot separate fiction from real life and will be calling Bangkok's CPS. The play BDSM didn't bother me because I would not be able to handle real BDSM. I've seen enough documentaries and interviews to know this already. Yoon and Ton seem like really sweet people in real life and I wish them much success.

For the "I hate fan service" crowd, the throuple was fan service.

I'm sad this series is ending tomorrow. Kim has given Kamol and family for the first time, and Kamol has brought Kim true love. I hope to see Yoon and Ton in another series.

Agreed. Especially regarding Akira expressing his former crush feelings to Sakuma. For all the viewers, who can't…
I don't think some viewers realize that if not for Shin, Akira would not have been able to take this step. Shintaro has helped Akira become more brave and less uncomfortable with the idea of telling Sakuma that he was sincere, that it was not some graduating senior prank or dare. All I have to say to Akira is, ganbarimasu!

Is it just me or when a series come to "dark" story, I prefer non-BL more than BL, or maybe they just didn't do…
Personally, I usually do not like love mixed with my dark content. I like it to stay on topic, and when they add love, it seems to mess things up. I feel like I'm not being shown why Akk and Ayan would ever be a couple. We see Akk trying to do things for Ayan, but why? I think that my favorite BLs which has darker topics are Manner of Death and Triage.

Recap! I watched Special Episode 13 so you don't have to!Today's special episode begins with...a commercial for…
Thank you for your great recap. It let me know to skip to the last 5 minutes. My FF button also thanks you. The recaps are more interesting and humorous than the actual show.

Did they even show Daonuea, Nine and the mystery baby? They continue to subtitle Loadstar (misspelled on purpose) Productions but not the Thai post-it or song. Figures.

P.S. I was kind of hoping for the ship name Iced-Tea. Bad pun, but this show was so bad, I'm not even going back to watch Episode 0.

Title Vice Versa
I like this series more than The Eclipse (puts hands over head to fend off blows). The GMMTV "dark" series tend to get overly preachy, and I feel like I'm attending a religious revival. They don't know how to write for adult audiences when it come to dark content, so they gear it toward the kids. At least Vice Versa doesn't try to be deep. Tun and Talay try to express themselves like adults would. Talay was pretty honest in Ep9. I do think they should show Tess and Pakorn at times, because while I see Talay improving things for Tess, I'm worried about what Tess is doing to Talay's life. Also the doppelgangers are strange because we should run into Puen's since he is famous in his universe.

Okay, I'm thoroughly confused now and my only wish is they don't screw up this beautiful series with a cookie cutter ending, even if I end up heartbroken. Rossi is just wonderful in this episode, as usual. Meen is great too, but Meen is obviously a grown man, handsome, with plenty of sex appeal, while Rossi still has a boyishness about him. Rossi is just amazing though. My heart hurt for both Tiew and Mork this episode. I was literally holding my breath during the bridge scene, scared that Tiew was going to go over the rail. I'm hoping that Mork listens to the coffee shop owner, so that both butterflies can be free.
On Takara-kun & Amagi-kun Sep 3, 2022
I love this series quite a bit. Sometimes, I base my feelings about high school dramas on if they make me remember what high school and being in puberty was like. Amagi having mixed feelings about sex is something many people go through. Our perception of young males can be "if there's a hole, I'm filling it" but not all males are like this. I know that men, young men in particular have pressure to be studs, but for both Amagi and Takara to discuss sex made my heart soar. Takara also had his boundaries and well, and he stated them to Amagi. This gem of a series is bold enough to have the main characters holding hands while walking home from school, yet vulnerable enough to discuss things like when Amagi was avoiding Takara because he was afraid.

WORST BL I HAVE EVER SEEN>>>
Swap Test is still my #1 worst BL, but the only reason that I forgive it is, it seems like they were trying to pay homage to John Waters at times, and it obviously had 1/8 the budget of this series. It was kind of a BL Pink Flamingos and Hairspray. Plus it had violence. It was bad. If you want a new worst, watch Swap Test. What the Duck 2 is #3 behind this one.
