I usually read the book after the series but I liked this series so much that I read Kim and Kamol's story. In the book, Kamol is much direct and stronger toward Danil. I'm hoping next episode, Kamol will address this directly. I liked that Kim's co-workers were teasing him so much. They made me laugh, and made me want to tease Kim too.
It's very rare that you see siblings as parents in anything, and even more rare that it's a gay brother and sister…
I like that the siblings are raising Q together, and Uncle Man will be there when his sister's fears overwhelm her. Cher, the gay icon, did an interview before her son Chaz transitioned from female to male. She said that she had a hard time when her (then) daughter Chastity came out as a lesbian. Cher admitted to having had sex with women herself, but when the time came for her daughter to be gay, she struggled with it. Chaz said that while his mom struggled with it, while his father accepted him. In these shows, the mother is either totally supportive, or totally freaking out. I'm glad this series is more to to life.
Yes! I'm sick of these newer BLs getting on their knees or kneeling on the floor so their crotches don't touch.…
When people use "whiny" and "cutesy" as a criticism, they are not usually used in relation to masculinity. Santa is called cute, but it's a compliment.
The late Japanese gay porn actor, Masaki Koh, commented that because of the Japanese stereotype of the over the top effeminate gay man, he never accepted offers to appear on tv programs because (in his opinion) the viewer just wouldn't get it. His boyfriend, Tenten commented that to foreigners, Japanese straight men look gay to them. I watched that interview many years ago (Masaki passed in 2013), but even today, we go off of our perceptions.
I will miss this series! Although they spent too much time with the Ploy arc, I'm glad that we got to see the families come together. I would love to see a series with Yoon and his doctor.
Except for the strategic planning meetings between Q, Toy and Frank, I really like this series so far. It looks like Toy and Mook will make a nice couple. The adult moments with Q's mother and uncle were a treat this episode. Q's mother is not against her son being gay, but as a parent there are other things that cross your mind. One fear is that your child could be accused of SH by the other child's family (this happened to a friend), or that he will get his heart broken. Moms are not stupid, when she sees Q want to leave at night to care for X, she knows what's going on. Also, parents are allowed to have a twinge of sadness about their children. Yes, often it's selfishly about them (wanting grandchildren, etc) but humans should be allowed to express their feelings, and she is speaking to her brother, who is grounding her.
My biggest complaint is, X hit his head on concrete, so they should make sure his head is okay, as well as his arm.

I think there are a few females who would be put off by a gay actor. I like My Only 12% a lot. I entered the BL sphere through manga, so I like stories that have manga style behavior, so I'm admitting my bias. I posted my opinion on Ep 1 on that board and saw criticisms toward Earth from his character's behavior to his haircut. They don't like how "cute" he is. My opinion is, I think that many BL viewers have never been around many gay men before. I think some of the critiques towards Earth may show their discomfort with his presentation at times. I'm not saying that he's fem, but he doesn't behave like a lot of hetero guys behave. I think they would be some of the same people who would claim misogyny that the ladies room in a gay bar had men in it. Maybe I'm being too critical though.
I loved the bath house (LoL) scene in 7 Project. It was so raw and I could feel the characters finally release the energy that was pen up. I didn't watch all 7 couples, but I really liked the Earth and Santa episode.
Love this so far. I am so glad that I am no longer in puberty/high school. It's such a dramatic and confusing time. Cake and Eiw should be friends at school too, but those pesky rationalizations that teens go through. If this series continues on this path, I will not be as sad about Love Mechanics ending today.

I forgot about the couch scene. That was pretty authentic to real life, and is especially nice if you've had a hard day. Daniel is a very good actor, and was great in Call it What You Want. I think Taiwan is missing out by not casting him in some of their series.
I think there are enough gay/bi actors out there who won't freak out over getting intimate with another man. I don't know why they don't cast New Year more often. I would like to see him do something on the edgier side. I think that we should move on from casting straight men to attract a female audience. Yes, some youngins will ship every gay actor, but they do it with straight actors as well. I think that all sexualities can be represented, and maybe we would get more intimate love scenes.
I don't usually look through all of the photos, but I wanted to see more pictures Fluk with his hair down. I didn't realize this series has been through so many re-castings. It looks like Art was going to play Tim's love interest. Daniel wasn't originally in the cast either.
I feel bad for the actors - what a mess. First, they have to stop with the planking in the love scenes. They're…
Yes! I'm sick of these newer BLs getting on their knees or kneeling on the floor so their crotches don't touch. I'm no sex goddess, but real people do not have sex this way. I was just glad that Kim answered honestly when Mek asked him about his feelings. I was looking around the room to make sure it wasn't a dream sequence.
You guys act like it's the worst series you ever watched in your life and I know we all have different opinions.…
Honestly, this is top 10 worst for me. Check-Out has no likable characters, they aren't merely flawed, but they the some of the most self-centered characters in one show. They have no compassion for each other. It's a bad day for me when I like the first cheater Tee, most out of all of them. I think they could have done this series in 6 episodes, and taken out some of the tantrums, and dishonesty to salvage the series. I'm committed to this hot mess though. I still support Best, which is why I'm watching this, even though it's pretty bad.
Curse that only affects rule breakers? It definitively sounds like something made up by teachers to make students…
You're probably right. Maybe there will be a supernatural tie between Ayan and his uncle. There aren't very many spooky BL series, and I was hoping for something eerie with the eclipse and all.
well critics and general audience reviews are two different things. you'd be surprised. take for example American…
That's true. I thought that Third's opinion would have been more persuasive or the audience would have told their friends. Since we're in the alt universe, it's hard to say what went wrong, especially since Tun said it would have been a hit in their universe. I'm hoping the novel gets translated because I think some of the nuance is getting lost in the series adaptation.

Not the rule breaking part because 90% of students break rules, from ditching class and copying homework, and the planter was pushed off by a human. I'm just hoping for a supernatural piece because I like spooky stories.
I enjoyed the inaugural episode. I love Khaotung in this series, and I also like seeing Neo not be a clown. We haven't really seen this since 'Cause You're My Boy. I hope the school curse pans out, and there is a supernatural element.
People in the comments are on some real horny juice or something. Oh no, a realistic, non-rushed relationship…
This is rural Japan, not Nichome in Tokyo. The fact that Shintaro is so open with his feelings, and that he has the support of his sister and classmate is just wonderful to me. Even though Akira got caught up in the moment and kissed his teacher, he ran away, which is why he is still struggling with his feelings 10 years later. Even in Tokyo, Akira got himself a beard and didn't even tell her the truth until after they broke up. I'm enjoying the pace of this story.
People always complain that BL is not realistic, this episode was very realistic. Sometimes having sex complicates a situation when the people haven't clearly and explicitly discussed what it means. Both stated their point, but neither listened to the other. If they talked about their expectations, or lack there of before having sex, then they could both decide if they still wanted to proceed.
Duean Yi wanted to discuss a possible relationship and when told again that Plengrak does not want a relationship, got emotional about it, and was hurt-angry. Plengrak is a person who will not give anyone a chance after going through a bad break-up, and all futures partners will never be judged as individuals . I have seen so many people like these in real life, so I felt bad for both characters. They both need to listen to each other and yes, they may have to break it down so they do not have misunderstandings.
Duean Yi had a hard day, first Plengrak, then finding out about his brother's sibling rivalry with him. The brother is a little immature continuously referring to Duean Yi as the favorite son. I only feel this way because I know a couple of teens who say this when getting into a conflict with parents. Both sons should be able to live their own lives. If no one wants to take the business, sell it when they retire, then blow the money on trips and having fun. Not everyone is cut out to run a business.
