Simple and sweet
This story had a ton of plot holes, but who cares? Not me. I enjoyed it for what it was. I liked all the couples and I enjoyed their different backgrounds and dynamics with their parents. This was a story about how even the smallest choices can make a difference in our lives. This was a sweet, heartfelt series and I honestly loved it. On a side note, Win's dad deserves to be BL father of the year! He is the best BL dad (from start to finish) I have ever seen in a series.Was this review helpful to you?
This show is bad
I can appreciate a new type of story line in a BL. What I do not appreciate is a waste of a lot of money for a script that should of have been burned and never made into a series. I will say this again (As I have in other posts) this couple has absolutely zero chemistry and needs to break up. Zee did have burning chemistry with Saint in Why R U and he actually had an acting range that went beyond A to A-. From Cutie Pie to this pile of stinking crap, these two have played the same boring characters, where one whines and the other gives brooding looks. Their intimate scenes look so choreographed they are boring and what is up with that lighting, I swear any more high density lighting and they might as well use AI to create the actors, because they do not even look human anymore and please NN never and I mean never use that hair color again, it was ghastly!! At least Jimmy and Ohm can act, but their story line was super toxic and they needed to stay apart, once an abuser is always an abuser. JJ and Net you were robbed. I actually think this show would of been better had JJ and Net played the leads and NN and Zee played the Calvin and Jay parts. I also think this show could have replaced Zee with a cardboard cutout and dubbed his voice, his acting was that one dimensional and boring. Even the music became repetitious and boring and over top as if trying to make this show more than it was, a big fat flop!Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet
I really liked this show. It was an easy, fast watch and the last episode was a bit of a surprise (I had to go back to make sure I was seeing it right) on who was on top, but I must say, that was a hot scene and a great decision by the writer! I liked the leads and both actors had chemistry and played their parts well. It is a very simple, sweet story and I would watch it again just to see that dazzling smile of the lead character Natsua again, he is very easy on the eyes.Was this review helpful to you?
Entertaining from start to finish
This is one of those shows that was excellent from start to finish without a dull moment. I loved it. The acting and chemistry between the leads was on fire and the supporting characters were good too. The store line was an interesting concept and I have to say this is one of my favorite BL series from 2025 so far.Was this review helpful to you?
This could have been good
This show could have been good, it had in the beginning the right ingredients and then it went no where fast. From the beginning both these guys had incredible trauma all their lives due to parents and in five minutes the trauma and all the hurt in their past goes away after the one talks to his mom and the other talks to his dad. What a load of crap. Why even bring up all this drama in the beginning if it takes literally 5 minutes to cure it. No one gets over years of trauma that fast. If that aspect of the series was not bad enough, then lets throw in two guys who can barely have their lips touch to kiss and what was that they were supposed to be doing in the bedroom scene? They should have just left out any physical intimacy or gotten a director that knows how two people really kiss and have sex. Maybe 10 or 15 years ago this could have pass muster, but in 2025 this show was not good.Was this review helpful to you?
I appreciate the effort, but...
Where I can appreciate a new type of story line in a BL without all the usual tropes and cliches, this show fails on every level on it's own. The universe that this BL takes place in, is interesting, but the execution, characters and acting is dreadful and not entertaining at all. The episodes are super boring and the show drags and is repetitive. I found the actors could seriously be replaced by cardboard cutouts and voice overs and no one would notice. If I have to read a novel first to understand what is going on in a series, then the director is not very good at story telling. I give up. For those that like this show I am honestly happy for you, but for me, this series is not my cup of tea.Was this review helpful to you?

Zhang Zhe Xu's face alone deserves a 10, the man is a living work of art. The show was a heartbreaking, beautiful series that moved to a final, inevitable and yet satisfying conclusion. All the actors breathed life into their characters and I honestly loved every episode. I will miss this show and I hope to see more historical BL dramas made in the coming years.Was this review helpful to you?
This show had it all!
The acting, the story, the direction and the chemistry was beyond my expectations for this series. Honestly I went into this show not knowing much and boy oh boy was I hooked from the first episode to the last. I loved how the story played out and how the leads fell in love along the way. This series has a simple premise, yet it was fully played out and every character was also created with backstories that we learn along the way. To say I enjoyed this series is an understatement. I fell in love with this series. They could have made 50 episodes and I would have been seated for each one. I hope this director gets to make more BL's, they definitely know what they are doing!Was this review helpful to you?
More than just a bl series
The acting in this series is brilliant. The soundtrack was one of the best I have ever heard in a bl. The direction, the sets, the settings, the fashions, the cars...etc all captured the era. The script itself is also very good. I did take a 1/2 point off, because I really was hoping for a happy ending for everyone. It is a show not to be missed.Was this review helpful to you?
Do not bother
The last couple of episodes were really (and I mean REALLY) bad. This series could have been good, but it got bogged down with too many bad guys and a rushed final that made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Do not even get me started on what they did with the Kor character, that right there dropped my rating to 1 star.Was this review helpful to you?
