This was such a fun and easy drama to watch. Although except for the FL, many of the actors were obviously inexperienced, I could overlook it and grow to like them.
The only thing I didn't like was the very end. It didn't make sense for the FL to continue "making" herself ugly. Like wth was that. She should just dress and look however it makes her comfortable.
Lusi was so cute and charming in TRTR that I went straight to her next series.
This drama gave the impression that her character would be modern, independent and optimistic. Unfortunately it went downhill after the first ten episodes, and the FL turns out to be as conventional as characters from other dramas. She’s also immature, thoughtless of ML’s feelings, and not at all as quirky and confident as we’re first led to believe.
Her lack of maturity is not necessarily a bad thing, if she was to go with someone else. But considering the ML is so much older, then I really can't see how their relationship could last beyond a mild fling. The gap between them, and I'm not talking about the age gap, was just too wide.
The romance wasn’t much of a romance. After watching more than half of the drama, the main leads haven’t grown as a couple. They don’t seem to share anything deep beyond a love of good food and some adolescent fun times… That becomes more apparent in episode sixteen when she needed him, and instead of telling him, she left the ML in the dark. There’s no communication between the couple. And the tons of little misunderstandings and all those other clichés like bringing in other woman, other men, was all meant to stretch out the drama.
I agree. I'm American so I can spot an accent in the singers. It's ok, the accent isn't bad except sometimes I…
My feelings exactly. I'm here watching cdrama and I would prefer music from the same language, the English songs are just jarring and takes me out of the moment
Almost at the half way mark and so far it’s okay. There are a few cute moments between the leads, and it’s nice that they act their age, like nice normal adults. I first started watching for the romance, but I ended up skipping a lot their romantic scenes, they were mostly meh. (Except for the hospital scene, which was funny)
One big peeve about these new dramas is the music. What’s with all the English music? The lyrics are juvenile and cringey. They had 3 different songs in episode 15, that didn’t really fit the scenes.
Cute and lighthearted. The main couple is so cute together. It's not cringey, the FL managed to be sweet without being childish. Although I didn't like how naive she was about some of the things happening to her. There was no way she was that naive when she survived so long in the entertainment industry. But other than that, it's a fun watch.
Giving it a hard pass. Sounded like something fun and fluffy to watch, just what we need at a time like this. But ten episodes later, and it's not getting any better. FL has a one dimensional personality and ML is not much better. Nope, not wasting more time on this.
