Her in counter with the crown princes. She stated her opinion of the topic but when he counter why....she didn't just blindly argue back and think she is right....I love how she took in his words and rational of that topic...

A strong character is being intelligent...having a opinion but taking other's words/rational/reason into account...

I didn't see it that way. I don't feel that he think she's clueless. He sees that she has trauma and can't really think straight. That why he pushed her to let out those emotions she bottles up.

I don't think the writer making her weak. She is clearly inexperienced 2nd yr student who have taken a break. Her knowledge is all books and some experiences. She's been out of the game for a year isolated. As a resident she should still be under a doctor.

He is a doctor who ran the department.

Is it a plot device for him to help her out of her issues and create growth within the character.

I see it more like a mentor.....he is also going through the same issues to redeem himself
