Yeah the novel was written in first person and had a lot of internal monologue, which allowed the readers to understand lr emotions and actions. Unfortunately, that can't be translated into dramas, or else the whole drama would just be her thinking.

Yes I understand why people don't like lr, there are also times when I am shocked by lr actions as well. I am surprised the international community picked it up, because they usually ignore this and just support the relationship, even if the relationship is toxic. I think we are moving in a good direction by aknowledging this, and hopefully we can express this in future dramas where there is a toxic relationship. I just find it funng that no one is china cares about this lol. Really shows how differently cultures view relationships.

First time seeing international comments being more toxic than cnetz comments lol. Cnetz are attacking the drama for other reasons, but majority of them are loving the main couple lol. They say they act exactly like a married couple. One of the comments said that peirong reminded them of their parents 💀 where lr is kinda aggressive like a tiger mom and pwx is like the dad who always listens to the mom lol. I guess this couple dynamic is more common in china, and unique as well as this is the first time a reborn couple is actually acting their age.

Yeah but I wouldn't blame director, more so the author. From my knowledge based off reading the first 40 chapters, the fl was a lot meaner. She constantly abused the ml both physically (by hitting him) and verbally (by constantly putting him down). The drama toned down her behaviour to make it her likeable I guess. But they didn't give her a reason to tone down so maybe that is why there are some gaps in the plot, since the original fl isn't meant to act like that.

I thought it was obvious that they cared for each other, especially li rong expresses her affection fo pei wenxuan by doing things like feeding him, protecting him, making sure he stays warm ect. The reason why people were mad at her is because she didn't express her feelings, but I think in ep 21 she finally let her feelings out and told pwx to wait for her. Hopefully the fl doesn't get anymore hate.
