I think it's sort of like the LGBTQ+ community. Most people don't realize that the community includes quite literally everybody. Everybody has a letter and flag that represents some aspect of them (even allies have a flag), but not everybody is aware of that or cares enough to look it up.

So Sorn is an experienced seme and Jun is a virgin uke, but they definitely don't have a predatory/toxic relationship. Sorn comes on strong, but he always asks for consent before initiating sex and Jun definitely consents, initiates, and has fun with the experience. My Stubborn is a very sex positive series and it doesn't treat casual sex as red flag behavior.

BoatOat have 90% of the screen time in My Stubborn despite the multiple side couples. The series doesn't actually have any plot so the side couples are there just to fill in the smut quota when BoatOat aren't having sex lmao.
If you like smutty BLs without plot than this one is for you. The quality of the series (production, acting, etc) is not great tbh, but it gets better as the series progresses. Also Boat's character is super cute later in the series, he turns into a complete simp for Oat's character which was very fun to watch.

Apparently Dew actually drew some of the manga we see in the show, that's wild. The artwork is seriously good. I'm glad he got the opportunity to show off his talent.

Honestly, the people who still think this is coming and keep referring to this as Jeff's passion/dream project have clearly never made creative content before. Working on the same project for years is not fun. It's boring and can quickly become exhausting. This was his passion project and then he spent two years writing a script that he might not have even finished and had to deal with the stress of trying to find investors to turn it into a series. I wouldn't be surprised if the novelty of the story wore off while he was trying to write it out and so he set it aside to avoid burnout. Maybe one day he'll get back to it, but judging from the current situation it won't be any time soon.

Okay, I watched ep9 and I just realized that Santa really takes after Prem lmao. That's so cute and funny, they really are father and son.

It's a platonic bl, possibly romantic bl. Think of it like a Shounen-ai and the characters are asexual. The two characters will love each other, but they don't have sexual feelings towards each other.

I have an insane urge to watch this again for the third time. Idk, I miss PerthSanta! T^T

I was glad they took the time to give the gl couple some closure since the main series ends before they have a chance to talk out their feelings. And of course FortPeat are delightful as always, I enjoy seeing Peat play such a spoiled character, it's so cute.

1. I'm like 70% positive that Hong said their characters are only going to PhiNong during a livestream. Could be wrong, but like I already said if they were going to be doing BLs they'd be more open about it.
2. Just cause there's source material doesn't mean they have to follow it. Tv series and novels are not the same thing and changes are often made during adaptations.
3. They are playing side characters, whatever type of relationship they end up having is not going to affect the genre of the series. It's a Romance BL because of JuMark, not because of NutHong.

Not yet. I'll wait a few more weeks once it's closer to the finale. I hate waiting week to week.

My intention was only to say that if the series is like Wu than it's defs going to be more than just platonic. A lot of the comments on that series agree that it was actually more of slowburn/ace relationship. Personally I prefer more sexual relationships as well, but every now and then I need a palate cleanser. Typically that would involve watching an hs bl and/or jbl which often have more childish characters. So it's very refreshing to watch a non spicy bl with mature adult characters. But if it's not your cup of tea than that's fine.
(And the allo comment was definitely only directed at Exobs lol, I'm lowkey annoyed by the amount of discourse around what a genre does or doesn't include. People have been super nitpicky for literally no reason about it. It boggles the mind.)

Not really. Shounen-ai do not have to be romantic, they can be platonic as well. BL stands for Boy's Love. If the series has two guys who say they love each other (and in Wu they do) than it's a BL. It's not complicated. Allos just have a very hard time wrapping their heads around a love that doesn't involve sex.
