So BL falls into two categories: Shounen-ai or Yaoi.
Yaoi is BL with sex. It can be smutty or slowburn, but there'll be intimacy between the characters.
Shounen-ai is BL without sex. It focuses solely on the emotional aspect of the relationship.

Mr. Kill is a shounen-ai. The two main characters will form a relationship that is based on love, trust, and respect for each other just like any other BL pairing except they won't have any intimate scenes with each other. Instead there'll be light flirting, lingering looks, and an overall lovey-dovey vibe.
DewTee actually have great chemistry with each other since they've been friends with each other for years irl so they're very comfortable around each other which makes them perfect for shounen-ai.

I still don't understand why series like this one and Wu are being marketed as bromance instead of shounen-ai. Does GMMTV just not realize that what they're making is called shounen-ai? Or are they trying to appeal to an international audience by using an english term?
Idk, when I think of bromance my mind immediately goes straight to early 2000s action/comedy movies with two very hetero male leads where at least one them typically has a female love interest. Which obviously this is not that lol. This is very much BL without sex which is shounen-ai.
You would think that GMMTV would try to appeal to their fujoshi fanbase by using a genre they would better recognize. Even if a fujoshi has never read a shounen-ai I would still think they would be familiar with the term, more so than bromance at least.

Yes, I think the writers wanted to show what an alpha x omega meeting and relationship building normally looks like so we'd have something to compare with Phatsa and Nakhun. I'm really excited to see Naphitch and Sangnuea's relationship unfold. I feel like they're going to be a very spicy couple~ <3

Everyone thinks Phatsa is a regular omega though and in this series omegas seem to be more gentle, delicate type which is why the family thinks he'll like housework stuff. I'm sure once they find out he is a pure omega they'll treat him very differently lol.

The novel takes the time to explain things better. Obviously in a tv series the screen writers are hampered by a limited amount of screen time for each scene, but in a novel the writer can take their time to describe a scene more fully, explain the world and the lore better, and to explain what a character's thoughts are. It really is a much more enjoyable experience to watch the series for the visuals and then read the novel along side it to get a better understanding of what's happening on screen.

No, the novel is only up to where the series is, but the novel has a bunch of additional information in it that helps with understanding the setting and some of the character dynamics so it's worth reading while watching the series.

Ie in the latest chapter it's the NC scene where Nakhun uses the necktie to blind himself, in the beginning of that scene, when he firsts asks for Phatsa's shirt, he admits that he'd been feeling miserable all day without Phatsa and was confused about his feelings and urges which is why Phatsa gives him his shirt when he asks for it. In the series Nakhun doesn't explain anything and Phatsa is confused while giving the shirt over. It's a small change, but it helps us understand the characters and their relationship way better.

Lol, what pilot did you watch?? They've barely changed anything from the pilot at all. The pilot promised us an Omega x Alpha story and a baby. This is what we're getting. At least this series has some spice and drama unlike Tadaima Okaeri which was 99% babies. :')

Sis, it's a romance. The plot is the romance. It's not non-existent, we got three whole couples worth of plot! All with a different flavor of drama too.
I honestly can't wait until Naphitch and Sangnuea finally meet cause I'm sure that's when the series will delve more into Naphitch's background and the family drama. The book has already talked about that whole u-haul of baggage that's waiting to be unpacked.
But Nakhin simping over Ongsa is also super cute! I'm sure that the whole True Alpha x Beta drama that will cause will be a delightful disaster to witness.

Also MFlow is a minuscule production company. They only have like ten series under their name, they don't put product placement ads in their shows, and they're all free to watch on yt. Keeping that in mind this show honestly looks pretty good. Compared to Pit Babe, which was Change's first ever BL, Knot is way better as far as aesthetics, cgi, and abo lore go. They're definitely putting in the effort to make this series work as best they can. Not to mention the director is literally writing/wrote the book and is even having it translated into English for us to read for free while the series is airing.
If you think MFlow's productions are low budget and cheap then consider becoming a member on their yt page and give them money so they can have a bigger budget. ¯\_(^_^)_/¯

But we got the blindfold nc scene now! I liked the novel version better than the live action for this scene actually. Getting to understand more of Phatsa's and Nakhun's thoughts as they learn more about the bond and how it affects them is very interesting.
