K-Drama
It's shounen-ai and it's perfect.
I honestly have no critiques for this series. I loved the ost, I loved the sfx, the fighting choreography, the actors, the characters, the story, I loved it all. Everything was perfect. The story was short and concise with no pandering subplots. The characters were fun and engaging. The relationship building between Niran and Pete was beautifully done. The fighting choreography was genuinely impressive (if they bring this level of choreography into the High&Low series then it will be something to look forward to). Did I also mention how much I loved the ost Destiny by Flio? It's such a beautiful song and they utilized it perfectly within the show. Most series have a tendency to overplay their osts to the point where it gets annoying, but this series had just the right amount in all the right places.
SkyNani got so much hate and trolls repeatedly bashed them and accused them of queer bating. A completely ridiculous sentiment. I've never read or watched a shounen-ai that got so much hate. Asexuals are part of the queer community too, they're the A in LGBTQIA+, trying to erase them and throw a tantrum because a series was made that caters to that audience is simply acephobic and awful. And people who who keep saying that this isn't BL clearly don't know what BL stand for, it's Boy's Love which is what this series is about, two boys who learn to love and trust each other. It's an amazingly thoughtful and well done series and I hope SkyNani make many more like this and stay partners for a long time.

Just the right amount of cringey and cute~ <3
After watching Naughty Fukami I was hesitant to give this one a shot, but since it's only about 2 hours of content there's not really a reason to not watch it. I was pleasantly surprised by how cute and funny this series was while also seriously discussing the problems that come from a relationship with a significant age gap. The actors did such a great job in their roles, Ai-chan was super cute without coming across as a helpless child like some uke tend to do and Okumi-san was so fun and caring. Their intimacy scenes were all well done too, way better than Naughty Fukami. The actors seemed very comfortable around each other and looked like they were having fun acting together. I also really enjoyed all of the other characters, the side characters were able to add a more grounded feel to the series that is otherwise a bit outlandish. I really wish the series had been longer to really explore the setting and the relationship building, but for what it is, it's really good. If you're the type of fujoshi that really enjoyed reading smutty manga from the 2010s than you'll probably really enjoy this series too.General info for anyone wanting to know:
• Is the series spicy/nsfw? Yes, the series shows full sex scenes (in almost every episode), but it doesn't show any nudity below the waist.
• Is there noncon or violence? No.
• Is there a love triangle? Yes/No, a second love interest for Ai-chan does pop up, but Ai-chan is never interested in him and tells him that point blank.

Once you start you won't be able to stop~
Let me begin by saying that I really did not like season 1 of Fourever You, I rated it 7 stars and that was being generous. Season 2 though, ooh this season was a whole different ballgame.Beside the Sky (eps 1-8) was an absolutely devastating story to watch unfold. Completely gut-wrenching, the actors (especially Tonliew) did such an amazing job. If you like heartbreak and family drama this one is for you. The way Typhoon's depression is depicted here and the abusive relationship he has with his father and how that affected his mental health is so well done, the writing team did a really great job while handling such a sensitive topic.
The Sun From Another Star (eps 9-16) while, having it's serious moments, was more light hearted. Honestly the ghosts were a great subplot. I wish there'd been more ghost shenanigans throughout the story, but once the initial ghost subplot is wrapped up and the romance plot begins the ghosts become a nonexistent footnote. I really enjoyed all the characters in this story though, the dads were fun and Arthit and Dao's relationship building was great to watch. I don't typically go for hate to love plotlines, but Arthit grows on you like mold and you can't help but fall in love with his stupid antics.
Winter Season (eps 17-24) was the story I was looking forward to most. I really like tsundere characters, so Tiger being a mafia boss son and also a giant sweetheart immediately grabbed my attention. I won't say I was disappointed, the story had it's highs and lows. The romance plot completely overshadowed the mafia subplot though to the point where anytime the mafia stuff came up it felt completely out of place. That being said though, the romance plot was an absolute delight. I really wish this story had more episodes, I feel like it would've benefited a lot if it'd been twelve episodes long instead of eight to help fully bring the mafia subplot to life. I still enjoyed the story though and I enjoyed how much care was put into Tiger and Nao's relationship.
General info for anyone wanting to know:
• Are the stories overlapping? No, not really. Some of the characters show up in other stories, but you don't have to watch one story to understand another and you don't have to watch them in order. They're all meant to be stand alone stories, just set in the same universe. You might consider watching a few episodes of season 1 just for context of the side characters, but other than that watch however you want.
• Is the series spicy/nsfw? Not even a little bit. It's mega fluff! Hugs, hand holding, cuddling in bed, forehead kisses, and all the cute stuff. All the intimate scenes are a pan away, fade to black type scenes.
• Are the books worth reading? Yes! The series follows the books very well, it's a near perfect adaptation. I've read Another Star and am almost done with Beside the Sky and I'm definitely planning on reading Winter Season next. If you can find a translation in your preferred language I would definitely recommend giving them a read.

So many episodes, so little plot.
It's pretty rare to find a series that has more than 12 episodes and after reading comments about how well done this series is and how heartfelt it is I was thinking that this series must have a very deep and intricate plot so you can imagine my confusion when I started watching and it turns out that 70% of this series is just the main characters staring at each other. About midway I was hopeful that maybe the story would start to focus more on BounPrem's characters and maybe that's why there are so many episodes, but also no, we are only fed crumbs for the secondary couple (and yes I know they have their own spin-off series) while OhmFluke continue to just stare away at each other and occasionally start randomly crying. The plot here made absolutely no sense and that's because there very simply wasn't one. Even the past timeline that we are shown didn't make any sense. We are made to believe that Korn and In faced so much opposition and hardship that they gave up and killed themselves but literally no one besides the fathers were against their relationship. Everybody else in their lives was happy and supportive of them making the suicide seem rather dumb and pointless. Not to mention the dramatic tonal shifts between the present and past timelines were incredibly jarring. The past timeline has a rather serious tone to it, but the present timeline has random bgm and sound effects playing every single second making it come across as goofy and unserious. It might as well be two completely different shows.
Another thing I absolutely hated about this series were the intimacy scenes. Who's idea was it to have Fluke look like a terrified child while Ohm is kissing him? It wasn't cute or endearing, it looked like Dean was assaulting Pharm and to reinforce that Pharm never once had a say in any of their intimacy moments. Dean just decided for the both of them what they would be doing and when which was rather off putting. Intimacy is something that needs to be discussed between both parties involved and whether you're strangers or soulmates clear consent needs to be given before anything is initiated.
Now the few things I did like about this series... the acting was pretty good. Cooheart especially delivered a knockout performance and his chemistry with Kla was great. I really liked seeing them together, they were very cute. Honestly, this series would have been much better off if it had just been a historical drama that solely focused on Korn and In, they're relationship was way more interesting than Dean and Pharm's. Dean and Pharm's storyline could have been said and done in six episodes if all of the random filler had been cut out. With that being said though, I did enjoy the reincarnation story, I just wish it had been executed better. I liked that the reincarnation was actually talked about and the effect it had on Dean and Pharm and their families.
I'm sure in 2019 this series was absolutely mind blowing and I can appreciate that it set the stage for the fantasy/reincarnation genre, but in 2026 this series has become incredibly outdated. The storyline doesn't have enough emotional depth to really have an impact on the audience, it shows the suicide and then the rest is all rainbows and sunshine making the whole story come across as weak. Nowadays BLs aren't afraid to give us dark stories, talk about mental health, and really gut punch us with tragedies. There are far better series to watch unless you just really happen to love the slice of life genre and don't care about the plot being 70% filler nonsense.
General info for anyone wanting to know:
• Is the series spicy/nsfw? No.
• Is there a love triangle? In a very annoying way, yes, briefly.
• Is there violence/noncon? Yes, the series does show the full suicide scene. It doesn't censor or try to hide it in any way, it's in the very first episode and it's shown again multiple times throughout the series. The series also shows brief moments of violence between the fathers and sons.
• Is the spin-off Between Us worth watching? I'd say yes if you really liked the WinTeam crumbs you watched here. Their relationship imo is much better than DeanPharm and Between Us has a normal amount of episodes so the pacing is better.

Not for me.
After watching We Are and Me and Thee I was curious to see more of PondPhuwin's work and this one has Perth in it who I adore and I was interested to see him acting without Santa. I watched two episodes and lost motivation to watch any more. The episodes that I watched weren't bad, on the contrary it was an interesting enough story (albeit a bit depressing) with interesting characters, but I just could not find the motivation to sit down and keep watching this one. Truthfully, Slice of Life is my least favorite genre when I'm watching Thai BLs, the pacing always feels slow to me and there's a lot of talking in circles, so I'm not particularly surprised that I lost interest. And not to mention the slow burn romance, I'm sure when fixed ships were new this type of relationship building was still very enjoyable, but nowadays when we know that the main characters are going to end up in a relationship regardless of the situation drawing the romance out and having jealous characters/love triangles just feels pointless.
For someone who loves SoL this series will probably seem fantastic to them, but it isn't for me. Maybe one day I'll try again, but probably not any time soon.
