I thought the prequel was a masterpiece. I was afraid of watching this since sequels often prove to be no better or worse than the first, but man was I wrong. This is just as good as--if not better than--the first! Donnie Yen was just perfect for the role!
Watched on a friend's recommendation. Great action scenes, picturesque cinematography (a little bit iffy on the scenery CGI), good music and acting. Ha Jeong Woo totally doesn't look the age of the character he's portraying... though i think of it as comical rather than a flaw xD Also, Kang Dong Won REALLY has the making for scary villains! Looking more of this director's films!
Saw this in the theater for free during a Japanese Filmfest, and boy was the cinema full. The story's great (not to mention the actors they chose for the main roles are good looking too, and boxing isn't boxing unless it has homosexual moments xD) Definitely picking up the manga.
The oldest movie I've watched. Took me days to finish since the plot was progressing too slow. Good, nonetheless. Might even be better if I was there watching it some 50 years ago.
This was among the first K-movies I watched. Not something for someone who just started watching Korean stuff, because I found this rather slow and really disturbing. Not my cup of tea, but this movie was well-done.
I found this movie after reading the manga which is based from the same novel. Re-reading that manga and rewatching this film gets me sobbing, every single time.
