I too think it is something along the same lines! I assume Hia Lian wants Kuea to show emotions, to not act so perfect all the time, he had that smirk on his face when K was jamming to music while he was waiting at the office, HL probably knows everything, HL wants K to act himself, not the perfect put-together image he presents himself with! I also think that they Kuea is getting familiarity mixed with love. I believe that while they have amazing chemistry, they need to get to know each other better (COMMUNICATE) for them to be in love, love!! K hiding his true self because of his assumptions of what HL thinks of him rather than communicating is a problem on K's side and watching HL slowly crumble that mindset is going to be so much fun to watch in the next few episodes!
