However, all said and done, Nine is actually a very insecure character. We see it from the start, it's ingrained in his habits, his way of giving backhanded compliments, how he treats his fans, and the repeated patterns of sabotage. He has one goal, to reach the top and he's going to make it because he believes he's the best. That is far from the truth, and Nine's past (no matter how dire his situation was!) speaks volumes as to how far he will go to achieve his goal.
He threw his friend under the bus, the same friend he knew very well had a crush on him and he's banking on emotional ties to manipulate Third, North, Susan and even his Manager!
When North told him he took care of the video from Renji's side, he assumed no one had the video anyone, if we go by the fact that Nine was responsible for everything (initially I had hoped he had changed and, boy the whiplash in the same episode was a testament to Jamessu's acting! He's doing a terrific job!) then he's miscalculated how much hold he has over the people around him. North's outburst with Nine showed some power imbalance and revealed many of the deep-seated insecurities that Nine has, which we also see in his wariness and hostile behaviour towards Wan.
As complex as they are trying to make Nine's character, he's a very one dimensional villain who is able to camouflage very well in the industry. That's why it works. That I why imo, we don't feel it infact, we are shown rather than told, how he navigates.
On that note, Third, darling, grow some balls, you deleted hard core evidence against your little-crush-turned-nemesis not once but twice. You have plot armour and Wan is doing an amazing job, which is why I think the backlash on you is a bit curbed but if it ever comes to light that you had proof and didn't share it with Wan, idk what's going to happen to your relationship, yes you might be thinking of your career as well but that's a weak AF plot point.

Which is very out of character for Arthit tbh. One thing he is extremely confident and secure about is Dao, his feelings and his future with him, so idk why they went down this route. Also maybe because Thit and Dao's novel is the one I keep going back to again and again, I feel as though, Dao's personality is also not consistent with his acting towards the end of the their series in the main show. He seems to back to his reserved self, before Thit broke down all his defenses and made himself so comfortable around Dao, that Dao fully embraced anything and everything Thit. MAYBE it is just me, but I wish they had let that shine through, Dao being swept away and not being cautious. Because in the novel he was forward and very much open to how Thit showered him (literally and figuratively) with affection and love!
But love them regardless! This was a bittersweet last episode!
He was never in a coma, it was a few hours that he was gone from in the present timeline.
He does reunite with his friend and we kinda get a glimpse into all the characters, it's nicely wrapped up. However, I still do want more NetJJ. I want to see more of them 🙈🙈
