My favourite trivia having followed some of the filming when it started was that the kiss in Episode 32 was filmed…
lol yeah I saw the longer version before and it was wild 😂 had no idea it was filmed so early on.

I must say their chemistry really does wonder for the kiss scenes. It's actually so rare to see actors/actresses kissing with so much passion. It was very enjoyable (so many swoon worthy scenes), but best to just skim through the business talks though since that can be draggy.

Title Playful Kiss
Please, don't waste your time watching this drama. I don't understand why they would cut so many scenes from the manga. Even if the scenes were included, it was so lacking (not funny or even meaningful) as compared to the Taiwanese ver. It Started With A Kiss. Not only that but the acting sucks as well. It was so bad that I had to skip some of the scenes. Oh, don't expect any chemistry between the lead characters. Not to mention, the characters development was so badly done. Never once was I convinced that Seung Jo loved Ha Ni. Yes, the school setting, houses etc. are very fancy looking as compared to all the other versions but that's one of the factors that ruined this drama for me. I just couldn't relate to the characters.

If you really want to watch a live action of Itazura Na kiss, just go and watch It Started With A Kiss instead. Now, that's the right way to remake a drama.

I honestly cannot count how many times I've watched this drama and its sequel since it first came out. Everything is perfect from their acting, to their chemistry, to the characters development, to the humor etc. It was just a whole lots of fun to watch and it gives you the same feelings whether you have watched it for the second, third, fourth time. Joe and Ariel make the characters feel so real! It's amazing to think that they don't have feelings for each other in real life. The way it was made, the simplicity of this drama just makes you feel like you're not really watching a bunch of actors acting but real living people falling in love with each other. The Korean version is basically the opposite of this and it's one of the reasons why I absolutely hated it since they made everything look too perfect to the point where it just feels unrealistic to watch. ISWAK usually makes me laugh so much that I would end up with tears in my eyes even after rewatching it so many times for the past 8 years. It's one of those dramas that just doesn't get old. If you haven't watched this, you're seriously missing out big time.
