Amazingly Fantastic!!
I try never to hand out 10's as a rating, but sometimes a series comes along that's absolutely flawless, so nothing but the best can be given. What's surprising to me, I normally don't like the scenario of two guys against an entire room of people with nonstop fighting, over and over again ... but this drama was different. Besides the fighting, and fighting, and fighting again, there was a great story behind the punches, along with a great cast to match.
Do Hwan, who has proven from his past work, that he can pretty much do it all, drama, comedy, romance ... this one is no different. He's paired up brilliantly with Sang Yi to make an unexpected bromance seem very believable over eight episodes. The two had great chemistry of friendship on the screen, making that one of the strongest points of this drama.
At times it's exhausting watching them fight it out against the gang of Myeong Gil, but it was so entertaining you just couldn't turn it off. The battle of good versus evil, you just had to watch it play out. Sung Woong was the perfect antagonist, showing a cold wicked side quite frequently throughout the series. You counted the minutes until he got some well deserved retribution in the end.
I think the only time I had a negative feel for the show was toward the ending episode 6, things really started to look dire for the two protagonists, but thankfully that quickly changed, making the last two episodes really packed with fantastic entertainment and a great conclusion. You really couldn't ask for a well balanced series from start to finish. Just great!
Looking forward to a season 2 in 2026!!!
