Perfection All Around In This Hospital Drama
To say this has been a great series is definitely an understatement. I came to this drama late, season 1 & 2 had already aired. In a way I'm glad, because I don't know how I would have waited for each episode, especially an entire second season. I was able to watch both seasons in a very short period of time. I basically couldn't stop watching it once I started. These five actors were just so fantastic, matching the amazing characters they portrayed. Each one was special in their own way. I particularly became attached to Ik Jun, as I'm sure a lot of people did. That character was such an amazing personality and Jung Suk, the man behind this doctor, was simply genius. He stole every scene he was in, no matter who else was in it with him. The relationship he had with his son was beyond words. Adorable, magical & special to name a few.
Kyung Ho was another favorite. It was great to watch Jun Wan transform over two season. He was tough on his interns and cold to people outside of his orbit, but you do realize what a warm & caring person he is. It took a while, but he turns into a great character on the show.
The practice sessions the band did in each episode became something you really looked forward to. When they performed "It's My Life", that was their best one, not only singing it, but dressing for it. Being from the U.S., I can honestly say, they were amazing doing this song!!
The flashbacks were just absolute perfection, giving true depth to their close friendship and how far they came through life together at each other's side. You laughed as well as cried through the times these five friends shared, past & present. I'm definitely going to miss not having a season 3. It would have been great to have another 18 or so hours to follow them along their lives together, but the way this series finally ended, I don't think they could have wrapped it up in a better way.
Applause & standing ovation to the actors & writers. An absolutely brilliant job well done!!!

One of the Best Medical Dramas Ever
This series was so entertaining from start to finish. The acting, writing & directing is absolutely flawless. This show brings back memories of a popular U.S. Show called "ER". In fact, I found that Young Woo's character of Jae Won (Number 1) definitely mirrors the character of Dr John Carter from that show's early years in many ways. Young Woo not only gives a great dramatic performance, but he blends physical "slapstick" comedy brilliantly at the perfect scenes. You wouldn't expect too much comedy in a dramatic medical drama, but it's apparent throughout. The entire cast is just fantastic working as a team, with Ji Hoon masterfully in charge. Nurse Jang Mi (Gangster) and Dr Han are equally strong characters as well. They all fit together like a perfect puzzle.
I'm not sure when season 2 will be happening, but I look forward to it. I'm sure it will be great.

A Very Unique BL Series
This overall was a fantastic series, not just an ordinary BL drama, but with so much more added in. From the first time you see Kohei smile in episode two, to Taichi begin to defend Kohei in a very special way, you realize this is going to be a special drama. The acting matches the story perfectly. Mixing a melodrama with the difficulties in one losing his hearing at the same time of coming to terms with romantic feelings for his best friend, it played out in a very enjoyable way.
Nakazawa Motoki & Kobayashi Toranosuke were a perfect match in front of the camera.
Episode 5 was the real changing point of the series. I think the line spoken by Kohei "Being able to not hear the sounds - But being hated by you is what I'm more afraid of" is just brilliant.
If you want to watch a series with a blend of every kind of emotion there is, this is the one!!

Great Zombie Series
This was definitely one of the best zombie series I've seen. Each hour episode didn't seem to be long enough. What I found to make this series above other zombie movies or plots was the branches of different story lines going on at the same time. Your normal zombie apocalypse has stupid or very predictable directions throughout. This series seems to correct for that. Also adding a twist with certain zombie transformations, It seemed to be very realistic (if a zombie story can be realistic), but it also seems to cover so many different paths taken by each actor. Yoon Chan Young is great in his role. Not giving away the ending, but I'm glad to see he'll be back for season 2.Definitely a must see for zombie fans, but even non-zombie enthusiastics will enjoy this as well.
Looking forward to season 2!!

A BL DRAMA LIKE NO OTHER!!
I normally wouldn't use the word "Masterpiece" in a review, but there's no other word that describes this drama. From the start of the first episode through the very end of episode 10, every single minute is perfect in every way. The acting, writing & directing is flawless. You can't even fast forward through the end credits, because the music used to close each episode is truly fantastic.
Ji Sub & Jun Taek have such a great chemistry together. It's definitely Ji Sub's best work so far, and I look forward to future projects with Jun Taek, because he was wonderful. There were certain scenes that gave you chills as you watched them unfold. The last five minutes of episode 9, with "The Story" playing in the background, you felt as though you're walking along side of Jae Won as he goes to find Ji Hyun. Just amazing.
I wish there was a score higher than 10 to give, because it's needed here!
The only bad thing is, The Eighth Sense has raised the bar so high, it's going to be difficult to watch another BL drama without feeling disappointment.
I think everyone should really come away from this series feeling great about life.

A Twilight Zone KDrama
From the very beginning, you realize this will be a drama with a blend of the Twilight Zone and romance, where anything can happen involving time. 15 years backward & forward just by going through a door. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, because you just don't know what's coming next. Truly great writing.I think the acting is fantastic in this as well, especially by Moon Ji Yong. Very powerful performance. You kind of want a different ending, but after thinking about it, the way it played out, it really couldn't have ended any other way.
The one thing that made the ending less sad is the fact you understand Jae Woo & Ji Hoon will be doing it all over again, and again, and again. It gives a bit more promise to a happy ending, even if it is a three week period they are able to spend together before happening all over again.
Great all around series!

Addicting once you start watching
I watched the movie format of this rather than the original eight episodes. I have to say, as I started to watch the first few minutes, it felt much more like a complete comedy. I wasn't sure if I was going to stick with it, but given the premise of the series, I was unable to stop watching, simply because I couldn't imagine how these two characters were going to get together. So I had to just keep going with it to find out. I'm so glad I did.Passing the 30 or 40 minute mark of the movie, I t was so addicting to follow, I couldn't take my eyes off the tv.
Excellent story line and the actors had perfect chemistry together. I was not familiar with Seo Ham or Jae Chan, but I will look for their acting in the future.
An absolute feel good series (movie) with a great ending.

A True Masterpiece
I started watching this series without knowing anything about it. What I witnessed over the eight episodes was just remarkable. A mixed blend of coming of age, love, death, the bond of friendship & even the supernatural.Komiya Rio & Inoue Sora are just beautiful on screen together. They each give wonderful performances, blending their roles into each other.
The writing is so outstanding and so original. It's like no other story I've seen, building on each episode with such unique directions of the plot.
Anyone that has experienced the death of a close friend or soulmate will truly breakdown watching some of these scenes between these two "Number Ones"
I was kind of hoping for a happy ending, but in a way, I guess it couldn't have gone any other way.
Definitely a must watch and rewatch with tissues in hand. It's a real tear-jerker.

Fantastic chemistry of two actors
This really was an enjoyable series to watch. I think if you're going to watch it, watch the movie version that's two hours long as opposed to the 8 fifteen minute episodes. It's much more enjoyable without the intermission breaks to start each new episode.Seung Gyu & Jong Hyuk were absolutely made to play these two parts together. They were so perfectly natural with each other, it made it so enjoyable to watch them blend there two acting abilities to make one great relationship.
Once scene in the later episodes showed an emotional and so believable performance by Seung Gyu, it would be difficult to have dry eyes after watching it.
Definitely a movie to watch over again, just a really good "real feel" movie!!!

Starts out bad, but it does get better ...
I went into this series hoping for a good foxtail story. My all time favorite drama is Tale Of The Nine Tailed with Lee Dong Wook, so I was a little disappointed after the first two episodes. The character Eun Ho was not likable at all, putting a major damper on the story line. However, if you give the series a chance, it does improve as you get into the third and forth episodes. The story becomes a bit more in depth and the main protagonists finally begin to jell together. Lomon gives a good performance, adding a good chemistry with Hye Yoon ... but like I said, you need to give it time for this to happen. By episode 5 the series had me, and it was extremely enjoyable from that point on.
The only major negative I have, is what I hate in any of these dramas ... when you get to the final episode and you see "Three years later, Five years later, Nine years later" It never seems to click with me. So much time has passed, yet everyone looks the same, everyone has the same feel like it was an hour earlier instead of a decade later. That said, it was a good ending. Could it have been better? Yes, absolutely, but overall, it was enjoyable.

Innocent & Heartwarming Drama
This is a very unique and interesting story. Young Woo is the perfect person for this part. He's had great past performances, and once again, he doesn't disappoint! He and Shi Ah create a perfect blend together with their characters. Along with Ho Eun, a small but equally fitting supporting cast is an all around good fit for a solid story.Without giving anything away, I can say, don't be fooled on how smoothly things are going after the first hour. You kind of expect something to change, because it seemed like one big happy ending on the horizon. I wasn't expecting what eventually turns the entire story upside down and inside out. The circumstances that occur in the last thirty minutes almost made me change my mind on how good this movie was. I was sort of disappointed, not to mention shock by the outcome ... but somehow, the script does the storyline justice, not only making an excellent final few minutes, but probably giving us one of the saddest endings you'll see in a drama this year.
Sang Hyeon says a line toward the end that really hits home with this movie, "As time goes by, everyone's memories start to fade ... but what remains in your heart, that never changes"
Great and enjoyable. Keep the tissues handy!!!

Truly a remarkably great series from start to finish
I'm always hesitant on rating a series 10's across ... but this turned out to be such an outstanding drama, I couldn't give it anything lower. There are so many layers to this story, the three protagonists are so intertwined with their lives, you get to experience how they arrive at the present day by witnessing their early lives together from years past. A multitude of flashbacks explains the relationship they endured together, as well as the family around them. Each character faces past and present challenges only the other two can help with.Bo Young does such an unbelievable job playing dual roles as identical twin sisters, just flawless. Each with such a different personality, and she brings out that distinctive mood in each. Her chemistry as Mi Ji with Ho Su is so amazing. The two make the absolute perfect couple you'll ever see. Jin Young equally matches her strong performance, and delivers such a powerful character, you can't help but be on his side, rooting for him every step of the way. When the two finally realize they are meant to be together later in the series, it's a conclusion to an episode you can't help but cheer!!
The supporting cast blends so well, too. It's the kind of cast of personalities you like at first, then you dislike, then you like again. Each of the mothers fall into that category, as do a couple of antagonist, but even they correct for themselves as the series continues on.
As you get closer to the final episode, you do feel like you get a bit of whiplash from things going good to bad to good in such a short period of time, but it's planned out perfectly, so you really do enjoy the ups and downs.
As things conclude, you feel a great satisfaction for each character. Everyone ends up in a much better place then they were when it all began. Regardless of their age, you witness a realization each one has toward themself and everyone important in their lives. Truly a great story, superb writing and fantastic acting.
One line delivered later in the series, really applies to the main tone of the story ... "The promise of a tomorrow is not born from hope, but from resolve"

Trust No One In his BL Drama
There are so many plot twists with characters changing from bad to good & back again, you just need to watch it completely out before you know who you're rooting for in this excellent BL Drama.Jun Seo is amazing in his role, along side of Sun Hyung. Both are a great fix together.
All the actors in this are great throughout.
I found that once I started watching it, it was really difficult not to binge episode after episode. Each one ended, where you just wanted more. Your heart aches Jung Da On with so much torment in his life. This is really way beyond a normal BL series, but rather a mix of a strong drama along with a few thriller moments as well.
Very enjoyable with lots of excitement.
