Episode 12 definitely provided everyone with a happy ending. Sena got justice for her dad, which was super nice to see. I do not know why everyone seemed to get redemption arcs though. The way the writer suddenly remembered and added Raik’s mom at the end was just weird. I honestly thought she might play a bigger role, but she was seemingly forgotten. I also think the scene with the sasaengs was unnecessary. Overall, this drama was pretty good, but there are too many plot holes, and they are really hard to ignore.
I really liked today’s episode. Honestly I don’t mind Hye Ju being the killer. Choi Hee Jin’s acting was amazing, especially during her final conversation with Raik. She looked like there was no life behind her eyes and the way she blamed Raik even at the end felt so deranged.
The fact that tomorrow’s episode is fully an epilogue is also really interesting. I hope Sena gets justice for her father, and I don’t think she and Raik separated. Also, I genuinely thought Raik would retire and not return to his idol activities. Also, props to the writer for giving the prosecutor a good redemption arc. I really liked how he did not let his father define him and chose to do the right thing.
After this episode, I am even more confused. The writer did a great job hiding the killer’s identity. Right now, I think it could be either Hye Ju or the CEO.
I just finished this drama, and it was so realistic from beginning to end. It showed Ae Sun and Gwan Sik’s struggles and growth throughout their lives. We got to see their ups and downs at every stage, and also how their children later understood and appreciated everything their parents went through. It was such a touching and beautiful tribute to life and family. I really loved it.
Episode 10 was really heartfelt. I liked how they used the chicken soup as a symbol of how she once felt unworthy of having it while living with her aunt and uncle, and how it was also her dad’s favorite dish. Sang Yan helps her face those emotions by bringing her the soup, which is also his way of showing that he will always be there to support her.
