I see where you are coming from with her not showing much emotion, but that is how it is supposed to be. It is a defense mechanism. Wen Yifan is someone who is closed off due to things that have happened to her. A lot of the people who she thought she could trust ended up betraying her. How is she supposed to have trust in others after all of that?

Yeah, it’s definitely her mother. Wen Yifan wouldn’t have suffered so much if her mother had just been there for her. She sacrificed her daughter's passions and happiness for her own, which is absolutely vile.

It was one of the best scenes in Hidden Love. It would be really nice to see it here again. It would add another layer to his character as well.
