can someone tell me the context of the first episode ? im really confuse right now
I’ll try to explain as much as i can. If u might’ve seen Ultimate Note we know that all of them were trying to enter the Zhang Family Old Pavilion but Xiao Ge and the team got trapped in it. The series ends in a cliffhanger (this is based on book7). Now, in the first ep we saw Wuxie having flashbacks of him entering the Zhang Family Pavilion with PangZi to rescue XG and the others but only XG made it out alive(this is from book8 which hasnt been adapted yet). Then, XG enters the bronze gate and made the 10yrs promise. So this is when Wuxie decided to learn more about XG and the Zhang family. From the clues he got, he then started his trip to Nepal and Motuo as seen in the drama to learn more about XG’s past.

Everytime ZQL is addressed as the “Patriarch” or the Clan leader i have an immense respect for him. I know that its not a very glorious title if we know what he goes through..maybe knowing how much he suffered all his life he deserves all the respect the world has to offer him. So as far as i remembered the Zhang slope shoulder guy was also called Zhang Qiling and he was kinda appointed by Zhang Da Fo Ye to get inside the Zhang Family Old pavilion when they conducted the greatest grave robbery but he got injured resulting in his deformed shoulder and also he isn’t the real ZQL.
Chen Wen jin was never really mentioned again. I believe she is either dead or alive living inside that jade meteorite.
About the Wang clan they could be traitors from the M9 & Zhang family as well i don’t remember their origin but they considered themselves to be the follower of Wang Zanghai(the famous architect mentioned in previous season) hence the name “Wang” clan. It’s now a known fact that they have infiltrated the 9clan closely monitoring everything. So, Wuxie’s gonna work hard to expose them duriNg the 10yrs ZQL was away.
About what ZQL saw inside that jade meteorite is not mentioned but I believe it has something to do with the ULTIMATE.

I think the IT mentioned in UN is the 10th clan the force who controls everything from behind the scene. I think i have revealed a big spoiler for 1st time watchers😄.
