Do you really think Mieko did it on purpose? I believe she only wanted to help them, but it all backfired because, in the end, it wasn’t a happy marriage. It’s clear that Eiji doesn’t feel anything for her. The idea was stupid from the start, and eventually Makki couldn’t bear the foolishness and left, which I think he still regrets because he loved them very much. Mieko was very dear to him too, as he always made sure she wasn’t alone and was always by her side. Among the three of them, I like Makki the most. He left heartbroken, not only because of the breakup with Eiji but also because of the separation from Mieko.

I also had the same reaction when watching that scene between SW and CY — I thought, finally, someone told him "What does that have to do with you?"
SeungWon is just fantastic.

I don't know what everyone was expecting, but the rating is 13+, so no one should've expected a kiss — it's already been said a thousand times that Ahn Ji Ho was a minor.

As for the episode, overall I liked it, but it felt like something was missing in the confession part. Seungwon should’ve been given more lines and explained what was driving him, why he acted the way he did — that moment needed more depth.

I liked the gym scene; Chaeyeon immediately understood everything — it was his best scene in the whole show, lol.

The rooftop scene with the sister was also good, how she supported him right away, which rarely happens in real life.

Overall, I really liked the series — the acting was excellent, the visuals were great, the soundtrack was amazing, and the plot (aside from a few moments) was solid. It's definitely not as terrible as some of the comments might make it seem. I definitely recommend watching it.

As for the dating issue — Ah Ji Ho was a minor in 2022, but if you look closely at the beginning of the episode, Heesu checks the time and the watch clearly shows it's 2023. Plus, when Jiyu marks the date of the audition, it’s also set in 2023. That would mean he was of age. What do you all think?

If you got bored during the first episodes, I recommend dropping it, because the second half of the series is even more boring than the first. I don't understand the hype around this show — honestly, I barely made it to the end. All the crying on screen just gave me a headache by the end, and I started skipping through those scenes.

Well, how could we possibly survive without an episode full of tennis? Why show more of their relationship when we can just watch tennis instead — just kidding.

But seriously, I agree — the development of Heesu affection was shown a bit rushed and messy

So the question is — was he even truly in love with Chan?
The contrast is striking: back when he was in love with Chan, he cared about Carrot , got excited when he found juice, but now — he doesn't care at all. No juice, no notes — he just crumples them and stuffs them into his pocket.

He is young, hormones are raging, his orientation was determined by nature, everyone around was constantly talking about relationships. The first person who happened to be close under those circumstances was his best friend: attractive, cheerful, kind, always there. It all seemed to fit — only, it looks like he confused natural, physiological attraction with actual love.

But as things progressed, the focus naturally shifted, allowing him to see the one who genuinely touched his heart.

It seems there was no real love for ChanEn after all — because HeeSu behaves completely differently with two different people. One he's in love with — and is falling deeper every day — and the other is just someone demanding attention without giving even the bare minimum of support in return.

And Seungwon makes that crystal clear to HeeSu with phrases like: “How is it a waste of time if it is important to you?”

And yes, in episode 9, the bell will ring and ruin the whole mood, and Seunwon will start overthinking again.

Oh right... the 13+, I forgot (((( Then at least we’re waiting, hands holding and hugging.

He’s not stupid 😂 He’s just not into The Carrot anymore. All his attention is on Seungwon now.
He hides the juice from him, doesn’t want him to hear anything about The Carrot, and he clearly feels the need to explain himself—like he wants Seungwon to know he’s not into anyone else.

I feel the same way. Heesu said "I won't go," and Seungwon will probably take that as a sign. I just hope they make it more interesting from here on out.

But if he scared off Seungwon’s confession and we have to watch them quietly crushing on each other all over again... I swear to God... 😩💀

I kinda knew that Heesu would say "I won't go." It was obvious when he started hiding the juice and didn’t want to talk about the carrot with Ho Sik. That look on his face when he thought Seungwon might’ve overheard them—and he immediately tried to explain himself!

Don’t tell me Heesu scared off Seungwon’s confession and we’re going back to them quietly having a crush on each other? That would be so disappointing.

So Seungwon did leave the carrot juice on his table! I thought he never did, lol. And The Carrot was a total surprise.

They were showy in season 2. First season ended at the park , when they first kiss each other. I assume this series will end there as well.

I miss the manhwa Chanyeon too(((. Maybe that's why it hits different for us, because these are two completely different characters? But you know what? I'm glad he told Heesu about their relationship with JiYu. Maybe this time, Heesu will open his eyes and realize that the person who cares about him the most is right next to him, and eventually fall for Seungwon. That stare already meant something))))

I think the series will end with them confessing to each other, and there will definitely be no kissing scene, as Ahn Ji-ho was a minor at that time. But I might be mistaken!))))
