Re-watched and I’m satisfied with the ending !

This drama was well done.

We had a good start, a rocky road in the middle of it, but the ending was what made me happy.

I think this drama is for viewers who don’t mind “open-endings”.

When I say this, I mean endings that won’t make sense to some, but that’s ok.

Considering how the story progressed and the characters had major character development, I feel like the ending was something to be expected.

If they choose to have a 2nd season ever, I hope that the plot won’t be as intense.

This drama was titled to perfection!

One of the best dramas yet!

Dou Zhao : the typical heroic girl that used to be sick but she’s given a 2nd chance to change her fate. Her character didn’t stand out too much from everyone else but I still loved her acting.

Yan Tang : the Duke of ying’s “adopted” son . I really liked how he was able to reflect on himself and at the same time support Dou Zhao. In the first half of the drama, it felt like his character would resemble the typical “heroic male lead is at odds with female lead, then they fall in love”. The 2nd half changed my mind. Yan Tang “blossomed “ by learning from his mistakes , approaching each scenario meticulously and deciding where he’ll take his stance .

Dou Shi Ying : In the first half, he was extremely cowardly and “turned a blind eye “ at most everything his father in law planned for his daughters. But in one episode, he blew me away. I won’t mention this as to not spoil anything but you’ll be SHOCKED.

Wang Yin Xue: The typical “evil stepmom” trying to make Dou Zhao’s life miserable. She also has a surprising turnover which made me like this drama even more.

Dou Ming: In the beginning, she painted as the adulteress with her stealing her sister’s husband, but after Dou Zhao’s time rewind, we see that Dou Ming is more of a coward against her mother’s schemes and demands. She finally comes around the second part of the drama, making me see her in a new light.

Each character has different flaws they’re hiding. What made this drama so special was their ability to “blossom” and learn from their experiences and mistakes.
