I have my complaints to the writer/author, so Im writing it in here:
a) how Ryan was lost -- why didnt her biological mother leave him with a close friend? Why didnt she put contact details in her child's pocket when she left him alone (mothers are practical, careful and foresighted)? Why didnt Deok Mi's mom file a report with the police when she found a child without a mother even after three days? Why didnt the grandfather look for the boy while her daughter was at the hospital? Leaving the boy at the playground could mean that they were in close proximity with Deok Mi and Eun Gi and could have been easily found should there have been a police report. He stayed at Deok Mi's house for about a month, does this mean that his mother was unconscious for that long so she could not ask somebody to find her child? Didnt his mother have a photo of her child in her wallet to ask for help while she's still at the hospital? Didnt her mother have any friends who took care of her while at the hospital and could worry about her son's whereabouts? He could have been found. It's not like he was kidnapped, taken into child trafficking, lost in a shipwreck, or lost in a very populous place like in a market.
b) how Deok Mi didn't pursue arts -- how come she didnt take arts course at a local university? Im sure there are a lot of good universities in South Korea. Why is there a presumption that education is better abroad? She could have sold her art pieces. Judging by the awards hung in her room, she was a good artist so she could support her education. She could have also applied for a scholarship. Was it because she broke her wrist? Oh well, she brought that upon herself for being an excessive fanatic. She even had to stop for a school year because of her inappropriate behavior over fangirling.
c) Why did Eun Gi only realized his feelings only now and be a stupid jerk in their love triangle -- they are already 33, right? He is already mature enough. He is not a teenager who could not sort out his feelings - be it only as a friend or as a potential boyfriend to Deok Mi. He could have already realized that earlier on. He could have already made a move, way before Ryan came in the picture. Let me repeat. He's already 33. Gosh.
d) When Ryan was about to confess his feelings -- why did Deok Mi had to do all the talking first then leave instantly? Is it not ethical to hear what the other person has supposed to say and not just leave like that? Let's say she already assumed that Ryan would say, "Im tired of this fake relationship", Ryan could have yelled at her and confessed his feelings right there and then when Deok Mi was walking away. That would be the natural reaction. Yet, the writer had to delay and created the misunderstanding.
e) Do they really have to be connected with each other in their childhood? How did it help build the main couple's relationship? I think this was included to create a conflict which was unnecessary-- 'Your mother left me at the orphanage thats why I should have hated you but I dont', is that it?
The best part of this drama is the main couple's relationship and I finished this drama because of that. I also like Seon Joo's kid. Plus points also on showing the importance of forgiveness between couples, family and friends. Everything else is just meh. This drama heavily relied on the main couple's sweet moments. It worked for me in some ways, but in general, the plot is nonsense and full of clichès. Enough of the childhood connections, altered memories, birth secret, nonsense love triangle, etc.
How this drama depicts fangirling was scary for me -- from stalking, to violence against the girl who was rumored to be dating their 'idol', to spending extravagantly for a hotel room as part of the 'pilgrimage', to giving up your entire savings just to buy a birthday gift for your idol, up to the brink of divorcing your spouse. This drama shows that it's okay and it's normal to be this kind of fangirl while it should not be. This kind of fangirling is totally not normal. It is just a fantasy of the writer.
I also found some similarities in PMY's character with WWWSK. As a curator, she usually acts as the dependable secretary.
I was a fan of Park Bo Young ever since i watched "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon", and i fell in love with her cuteness…
Super agree! I first watched strong woman do bong soon and i was impressed by her especially at the scene when she learned that her friend was abducted and freaked out. Then in this drama, oh my ghost, she impressed me more. On a side note, I thought I was watching a prequel or a sequel since she is called 'bong sun'/'bong soon' in both dramas!hehe.. :)
I liked the drama overall. Park Bo Young never disappoints!
Im just bothered of the chefs not wearing hairnets or caps. Isnt this a standard while in the kitchen to avoid hair falling on the food being cooked/served? The sous chef also randomly puts up his feet on the table with his shoes on. I just hope the tables were properly cleaned/disinfected because of that.
I feel like one of them was Ryan and the other was Shi An,since lots of people are saying they could be bothers.…
So were there three boys? Isnt the other one Deok Mi's fangirl best friend, Seon Joo? Well, I just cant identify if that one kid is a boy or a girl. :)) Im assuming they were Deok Mi, Eun Gi, Seon Joo and Ryan.

Sorry for the rant.
I noticed that this rom-com drama doesnt have any SUBWAY sponsorship! I see Subway in a lot of rom-coms.
I just hate why cant the main couple be honest with each other in a lot of instances.

I blame all the negatives on the writer.
