Wang Xing Yue is 23 but doesn't look like 23. He looks about the same age with HMH. Besides it sounds like HMH…
agree that WXY looks older than he is. I like that about him. and absolutely people have large age gaps in real life! but there’s a difference between…let’s say a 25yo and a 15yo than a 35yo and 25yo, both with 10 yr age gap 🥲
I mean regardless of what actually goes on in real life…sigh. both actors are great. visually pleasing. they’ll probably do well together on screen. we just have to wait and see.
I don’t think anyone thinks it’s the best fit. I think most can agree on here that 17 yo’s shouldnt be casted as a romantic lead. my suggestion of casting a younger actor vs older was in regards to making the best out of a bad situation. 😕so it sounds like your take is she likely shouldn’t be in the industry at this point, which is also valid
Straightforward and easy to follow the story. Appreciate that focus given on main characters love story of at…
I think in addition to the wedding scene and other shortened kiss scenes, the drama spent unnecessary time on arcs they didn’t bother finishing. or even just a relatively large amount of time on scenes that they didn’t even care to expand on further.
dad’s alcoholism? she met him when he was lying on the ground and there was that entire scene of him on the streets and she covered him with newspaper. how the stepmom and dtr wrote it off as totally normal. it really felt like there was a story there. but nada.
Mike showing up again in Nanjing and asking him to ride again multiples times. seemed like a lot of emphasis on a possibly new arc with only a few episodes left. and of course, not much closure with that.
also, this was cut but the whole condom scenes? I was waiting for the punchline but that was snipped too. even an awkward moment between the two after they were found on the floor with have sufficed.
just so many loose ends - big and small, that’s like gah!! love that FL and ML got their big finisher but… still somewhat unsatiated.
I really just unfortunately never liked the female lead. I tolerated her in LBFAD but speed and love made me actually LIKE-ISH her, and honestly it’s bc of He Yu. if it wasn’t for him, I would have dropped SAL like a hot potato. I mean, it just is what it is.
I kid you not I almost dropped it too bc ugh the FL and the uwu and the voice and the outfits. BUT heyu is absolutely spectacular in that drama. I found myself gradually ignoring the FL completely and was just waiting for heyu to come onscreen. he’s such a gem! if there was a breakout role for him??? it’s him in Speed and Love, consider giving it another shot to pass the time! you might be surprised ☺️
