kinda love how the drama sets the audience up to understand that his closest people, mom and manager, donāt believe him. and he knows theyāre probably afraid of him. and yet this woman, who HEARS LIES and heard his statement as a LIE, still believes him and says no need to explain. heās probably never felt so free. canāt wait for Monday

Yahh Iām sure FFYY didnāt get her way with him. Iām just saying at this point drama-wise, all Jing probably knows is he got raped since sheās preggers and all he remembers is the morning after. And I feel bad for him bc thatās on top of alllll the other things that have been forced upon him already.

Crazy, I donāt think this guy is weak at all. He takes calculated steps in the background to make sure he doesnāt hurt anyone but still benefits those he cares about. Actually come to think of it, when has he ever done anything for himself? Heās presented as such a selfless hero. I guess one can say whenever he helps XY heās doing something for himselfā¦ His character is so noble that the scene with him drunk at the casino and with him with the ice dagger at her neck was startling to me. Like wow what happened to Jing! With XL or CX, those guys would have murdered people already out of hatred.
Finally finished s1. I shouldnāt have started this drama. Now all thereās left for me is sadness and emptiness. Spoilers below if you havenāt finished s1.
Jingās character probably has to be one of the saddest characters Iāve seen in a while. This guy is written as a kind genius who has never once done anything bad to anyone. His brother tortured him but he still doesnāt seek revenge. Heās rich and excellent at what he does, business, finance etc. He cares and respects his elders. Heās at the top of his clan but all he is and ever was, was a chess piece for people. No one seems to want to be around him for true friendship. (except 1 of course, no wonder why he didnāt want to go back to his old life, itās awful) They all need his title and his support. Fenglong maybe wanted to be his brother when he was younger but now itās also for his clanās support. CX obvs is just using him. His own grandmother who he respects also just wants him to marry that nasty woman for the benefit of the clan.

He never asks for anything except the love of his life and nothing else. And heās constantly being forced between rocks and hard spots - his grandmaās death, his fiancĆ©eās āsuicideā, now his ākidā like all this is so sad. Basically, what he knows right now is that he must be the clan leader and he was raped and being forced to marry and care for this child which Iām sure isnāt his since the maid had something to tell him, AND his brother seemed overly eager to see the child. Ugh. I hope he gets some wins in the next season. My heart aches for him. I like how the drama made him have white hairs. This guy is being tortured by those around him. Sad
