Hey hey. I won't lie, if I wasn't bored asf already that day, I would've dropped it and the only reason I was able to binge watch it in one day was because I kept skipping a lot of annoying parts. I'm pretty sure I skipped more than 3 or four eps entirely just cause of how annoyed I was, but that's just me to be honest. Overall, it's not a bad story, I get where it was headed, just felt like a lot of things were low-key unecessary. It's a one time watch type of drama so you can give it a shot.

Really want to point out that Jackie knows how to go off with her make up and styling cause I watched the variety show wonderland and she knows what works for her, i was this close to wishing she did her styling and make up for herself in the drama fr, but i think it was intentional

Saying Jackie li is ugly is crazy ASF to me (fyi this is for the people I've seen say it in the comments indirectly and directly).
That aside, I love this drama so much, watched it when it dropped but I just came to drop my comment now. Very funny very great acting, I did wish they would've put Jackie in some fits that looked great and did way better hairstyling, but regardless of that, she still did great and hongyi too.

Love this more cause of the female lead. I remember being down bad for her when she was in snow sword stride. She's so good

I also forgot to add that the women in this drama truly impressed me the most. Every single one of them was smart, strong, vulnerable. I appreciate the writer and the whole crew so much for that. It was not a damsel in distress type shit straight till the very end, they showed that the women could do just as much or even better than the men which I thoroughly enjoyed because it's different from the same old poor girl needs help type shows.

I truly do not care what anyone thinks but this has to be up there with one of the best dramas I've watched in a while. I don't know how to explain it. I was so impressed. Happy when they're happy, cried when they cried. The whole drama from ep 1 till the end was so good. I did cry like shit for the last 5 eps but I don't even mind, it's a very understandable ending. Liu Yuning impresses me everytime I see him in a drama and Liu shishi is a master of her craft so I was so pleased.
The character development for Yang Ying was one of my favorites ever, the actress did a great job portraying her. Every single actor and actress in this show did such a splendid job, it was shot so well, the fight scenes were my fave parts, so fun to watch, especially Yuning and shishis fight scenes.
Guys I really recommend this. I have nothing else to say, it's such a great drama.

I think bashing the characters is okay tho, but not their looks tho. Cause like that's what the characters are there for. But what I don't like is when people bash the actors playing these characters cause it's really not their fault that the script is written in an annoying ass way.

Sorry, I just needed to also rant about that ex boyfriend. Like he's annoying asf, the guts he had to tell the ml that he came cause he wasn't there during that dinner scene was so stupid and hypocritical. What were the writers thinking? Isn't he the same guy the FL said stood her up for 3 whole hours ?? Yeah that scene pissed me off bad, infact anytime he opened his mouth to speak pissed me off just because of that one hypocritism

Love the female lead so much, but I won't lie her character wasn't my fave tbh. They were sometimes were I felt the misunderstandings they had were just bottom barrel. Like that one ep he came and saw the ex giving her Flowers pissed me off bad, it's normal for him to feel bad about it, that whole thing could've ended on a low-key couple quarrel part and that's it. The writers kind of messed up with what they tried to portray with her tbh. Then I feel like we could've gotten more cases with the polar night rescue team, that would've been fun and I expected more of that. Their chemistry was so good tho and the other couples are cute as well, it's a very simple drama tbh, with some unecessary misunderstandings and unreasonable behavior, but it's not that that bad.
Anyways, the actors were good, this really isn't a drama I would rewatch ever, just a one time thing with some skips cause it does get annoying at some point. Strong 6 or 5.5 just based on what I usually enjoy, but watch yourself to know if it's your type of show

They have very good chemistry, the kissing on point and everything, but fl can get annoying sometimes, but you can skip those parts.

With all these negative reviews, you would actually think this show is so so bad when it's actually not that bad.
I mean, yes the CGI is low-key hilarious, but every other thing is okay. I don't hate it, I actually really enjoyed it from ep 1 till the end and i would recommend it to any one who wants to watch buy is skeptical because of the negative reviews.
At the end of the day, I'll forever stand on the fact that it's better to watch something yourself before concluding if you hate it or not

My only advice for people is to just watch the show themselves. It's literally just based on vibes. If you like it, then you like it. I get most people's issues but I've seen worse so I'm not mad about it. It's a very okay drama at the end of the day.

Exactly!!! Like I need the people to see what I'm seeing. After watching rising with the wind, I just started checking for anything she ever acted just so I could watch her. I need her to be in more projects, sis can act!

Where do I even begin!? This was just so good. A great drama indeed. I have nothing to say honestly, so realistic, so well put together, great acting, great life lessons. I've been on an Elaine zhong drama watching spree and I think I'm actually obsessed with this woman fr. The guy that played lin tianyu is so handsome(I just need to appreciate him cause I'm obsessed).
I gave this a 10, I cried, was upset, was happy and everything. Felt all the emotions. Great drama honestly.

As for how annoying mi Bai and the other guy were, I blame the writer. Like babes they should've instantly gotten common sense at some point don't you think

The characters that almost made me drop this series was mi Bai and that fang or yang guy, can't even remember his damn name. Just annoying and then tian wei. The misunderstanding in the 2nd part was very annoying tbh, not necessary, but minus all that, the main leads are sooooooooo cuteeeeeeee. Like give them another chance in a drama together again. They're so adorable together, their whole Romance and shit was too cuteee

Exactly!!!Professor Gao letting his daughter and her entire family drift away from him for 30 years is so crazy to me. Like that's 3 decades and he did nothing to fix it. And the aunt is so annoying also. And j agree, this show deserves higher ratings, I hope people will come and rate it better when they get to their dating era, cause I feel it's more fun when they start dating and she's a lot more relaxed now.
