I agree with you that in the show it seems like Forth is sober and Beam is drunk – so consent is definitely an issue. In the book, it implies they are both drunk, which is still not the best time to make a decision about sleeping with someone but removes the implication that Forth is taking advantage of Beam. I do enjoy their relationship in the new 2 moons, but I think that is because I enjoy the actors. Although, in the book more information about Forth and Beam's relationship is provided so it's not as abrupt and surprising as it is in the show. My comment was just to show that this scene wasn’t just made up by the new director. He was using the source material. The book has 3 graphic sex scenes if I remember correctly, which obviously for many reasons can’t and won’t be shown in detail for the TV show, but I still wouldn’t categorize the new show as being inappropriate or ‘porn like’ – not that I thought you were implying that. Sorry, I feel that I went off topic too much, but I respect your opinion and see the validity in it even if I do enjoy the Forth and Beam pairing.

I understand your feelings on not liking the relationship between Forth and Beam but to the new director's credit that is exactly how it happens in the book. The original source material is much much more graphic than what we see on the TV show.
It's an okay movie, maybe good for a lazy Sunday afternoon. It's not really focused on the romance either, it's more about 2 broken people trying to heal themselves (they both have family issues)...there was also more singing than I expected or wanted but I just fast forwarded through those parts.
