Insanely good! Before I knew it, I was done. Excellent storyline and acting, games were stellar, villains were hated, and no love stories... just straight on action and thrills. On to season 2!
Good episode. Would recommend this to those that have watched the first season and want to understand an origin story + setup [at the time] for season 2. Do yourself a favour and watch this if you have just completed season 1.
What's not to like? Excellent story and acting, decent balance between medical and personal focus, character development + growth, romance, fights, soju, and a deep, deep Alan Parsons Project cut [in episode 15]. Heading on to Dr Romantic 2 now, looking forward to more of the same.
Rewatched this for the 3rd time, this time concentrating more on Seo Dan's story [which I didn't focus on before]. Can't say I'm stoked about how she got there but at the end she was stellar!
I needed this one bad. Great story, cast, directing and cinematography. I really enjoyed the comradery of the study group, the vision + determination of Ms Lee and the evil villains. Add to that Kim Jung Young being in the cast makes it a very entertaining series. Study Group for the win!!!
free love scout. i loved that one and this one too
Awesome, glad you loved it as well as Love Scout. I was just anticipating more and when your expectations are high [due to proposed story line + actors + writers] sometimes it's hard to reach that level. All the ones I mentioned were okay... they entertained but would not be rewatch material for me.
This was okay. Yet another series that I had high hopes for but, in the end, fell short of my expectations. Woo Shik played almost the same character as in Our Beloved Summer... and he played it well. Most of my favourite lines were well delivered by Bo Young. It wasn't an acting issue here, it was just a story issue. Like I said, it was okay... not bad but not great. I don't know, perhaps this falls into the same category as the other 2025 series that I wanted to like more than I actually liked them. Love Scout, Motel California, Check in Hanyang... there were all okay but honestly none stood out. Trauma Code and Newtopia seem to be the exceptions to this, although they are on opposite ends of okay.
Was it just me or did the final episode have a totally different vibe? I was all in from the first episode but it was a very non linear journey. This series kept me entertained although not always happy. Honestly, I was quite frustrated at the lead characters [for different reasons] but this strangely kept my interest. Much respect to Lee Se Young and Oh Eun Seo for their portrayal of Kang Hui... they absolutely made me hate and love that character. Solid acting.
This was a pretty straight forward, not too much angst, linear type of series. Would recommend this if you are just looking for light entertainment and some eye candy [so to speak]. Leads looked great, although I didn't find much passion between them. Your mileage may vary of course. Entertaining but not a rewatch for me [honestly, I already forgot most of it].
Soooooo... just finished episode 11. This has been a beautiful, frustrating and punishing watch. I'm still all in on this but I've had to take so many breaks out of sheer frustration with the FL. Lee Se Young is a fantastic actor but her character needs professional help. Strangely enough, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's completion of this.
I really wanted to like this but left disappointed. It was "okay" which is a shame as it had all the ingredients for something much, much better. I don't mind slow and [somewhat] repetitive if the storyline advances but there were episodes where nothing happened... nothing. Acting was good to average and the writing was on the lower side of acceptable. Decent OST though.
Probably the most entertaining korean movie I've watched... although I haven't watched a lot of them. Good story, strong acting + direction, and decent cinematography. It left off where it needed to leave off [closure] so you can let your mind decide Na Bo Ra's next phase.
Okay series but I don't think it could figure out what it wanted to be. I enjoyed the earlier episodes that were more about bonding [that's what I signed up for actually] but was still engaged until the end. Sure, you had to leave reality at the door sometimes but it added to the fun. Kim Eui-sung is a solid villain, he played that role perfectly and it was perhaps the best written character as well. Still waiting for a strong lead role for Kim Min-jung though, let's hope that happens soon.
I enjoyed this drama, it's certainly a Master Class in Acting from Ra Mi Ran and Kang Mal Geum. Interesting storylines interwoven and revealed throughout kept my attention and interest. Could have lived with less of the Trot guy and Sam Sik but I'm sure some viewers loved them. The kids [Ye JIn and Seo Jin] never failed to make me smile. A solid watch.
enjoying this ride so far. however, some actors in their thirties can [sort of] pull off a high school student but a few of them here really can't. no offense intended, their acting skills are great but some of them look solidly in their thirties. eagerly awaiting next week's drop.
