Enjoyable slow paced romance. It focused on the growth into maturity in handling love relations by the young FL. She shared with us her Innocent first love with her lonely boss. Though gentle, the main actress brought us her joy, fear insecurity and uncertainty to deal with colleagues, friends and family. Typical in Asian culture, she had a very difficult time in bridging the gap between the two families. This drama was excellent as its focused what true love meant between two people. Both the ML and the FL did a fantastic job in making you believe their story. The good thing is that the story just flowed through without ripples. Very sweet romance without being too cheesy. Good recommendation with some nice music.
Thanks to recent discussion, i rewatched this excellent drama again. And I must say, it was as fresh and as entertaining as before bringing both laughter and tears to me. I think Ms Shin and Ms Cha deserved the best actress award and best supporting actress award which they were nominated for. The whole cast was outstanding to make this a classic for me.
Good story. The success of the this drama was made possible by the period drama Queen, Ms Kim Yoo Jung . She portrayed genuine enthusiasm as a painter as well as full devotion to her love no matter how tragic the circumstances became. Ahn Hyo Stop was superb in reciprocating her love but yet suffered emotionally as he had to keep a safe distance from her to prevent the demon attacking her. As a result, he had to hide his affections for her. The true love between them was so genuine that the audience was in a treat to experience their affection for each other. The acting was second to none. They truly deserved the best couple award for the year. Strong recommendation
Very good and meaningful love trainable to fight for
Just watching the king and queen fell in love with each other was worth every moment. And it was a really funny encounter. The royal concubine ( from business proposal) would fight for her place to be by the king. A fantastic drama. You can let me know what you think after.
Season 2 really rounded off the story better. The characters were more likeable. If season 1 got on your nerves, you will find season 2 rewarding. The main and second couples were both cute and supportive. The development of the romances were more natural. I really enjoyed this drama. Recommend for a light hearted viewing.
There is no question that the ML committed an unforgivable deed, Credit must be given to the FL for standing by him in the many adverse situations they faced. She had demonstrated what true love meant for her and as a result, I had a lot of respect for her. I enjoyed watching the loving couple unwavering love for each other come rain or shine. The ost was good. Entertaining and enjoyable.
Forget about the reviews and just enjoy the story. Great entertainment and a superb performance by the main couple. She tried so hard to hide her feelings and tried to survive in a world of deceit, murder and greed. You could almost feel her composed desperation under pressure. Fortunately she was well supported by her admirer and friends.. A love story not like any other with an excellent soundtrack flowed along smoothly.. Words cannot describe how intimately close they could bring their feelings together on the screen. Superb. Strong recommendation
A drama with substance. Two lonely souls trying to connect and accommodate each other. Ms Seo was fantastic as the firey tempered writer who really needed the sophistication of Kim to mellow her down. Both were tiesd down with their own chains. The success of this drama was made possible by the two very impressive actors to immerse you into their troubled world of pain, frustration and fear. Love was their only remedy. Great great drama which deserves recognition and it will definitely be a classic. Well worth watching again and again.
Interesting start but not the average romantic comedy. The middle section was quite heavy going as it was very painful to watch the FL struggled hard to love the man she wanted to be with. Jang Na Ra was perfect as the innocent girl who got caught up in a manipulated relationship I struggled to like Jang Hyuk because of his arrogance and pitiful way he treated her, This was changed dramatically in the emotional final confession to the woman he loved but afraid to keep. Guaranteed to bring tears to the eyes every single time I watched this. What succinct dialogue , which could express the pain and suffering by both. If you can survive up to e.14, you will be rewarded after. Strong recommendation
Great Emotional story which should not be rushed. Kim Yoo Jung was extraordinary as the young crown Princess. Guaranteed to leave a long lasting impression. Kim joo hyun was fantastic as the frustrated troubled King, Together they certainly brought this painful love story alive . Pain were felt, tears were shed and despair were hammered home into one’s heart. whenever they spoke. The shamans were quite unforgettable in adding spice to the story. The ost was fantastic and memorable., certainly deserves the best ost of the year. Strongly recommended.
One of my favourite and a classic. Great script and meaningful dialogue which strikes one’s heart deepest part. Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won were on top form to bring this story alive . Their synchronised measured stroll in the park, their shared anguish, emotional trauma and sacrifices for each other made this so memorable and unique. Excellent ost with many great songs. It really stood above the average drama Memorable for its story and top notch acting together with an excellent ost. Deserved to win the best picture , best actor and best actress awards. I will rewatch this over and over again.
A little bit of a chaotic start but one gradually settles to like the bittersweet first couple. They bickered, hurled insults at each other but deep down, they fought and supported each other. A little slow in the middle but picked up nicely in the last three episodes. Great main them song ‘The scent of flower’ was memorable and nicely sung by Choi Jin Hyuk
By far the funniest drama I have seen. The Queen was excellent and I had a good laugh in each episode because of what she said or did. Shin Hye Sun aced her part brilliantly. Her wicked grin in the kitchen was priceless. And yet, she could turn into a respectable queen with All In devotion to her man. All the actors deserved merit for their excellent performance in bringing their characters alive. In particularly the King, his friends and his love rival, the minister of war. Court Lady Choi was particularly effective as mother hen and Royal consort Jo was very memorable as queen's bitter love rival. Excellent ostthroughout.
Great story with superb acting from the main couple. Their feelings for each other was well beyond chemistry. They were fantastic. Very painful to watch their long goodbye. Grandfather Choi was excellent and likeable as the elder figure who guided them. . I felt so sorry for them that I almost gave up after episode 15. I am glad I did not though. I enjoyed it very much and very worthwhile to watch. You will get hooked onto it once you have started. Please ignore the trailer on Netflix as it did not do justice for this fantastic drama.
The ending was a little rushed. Did the prince reincarnate into the ceo who woke up from a coma? And hence the drawing? or did he travel 300 years to be with Boo Yong again? His written message did
