Excellent. Story well written. It has pace, suspense as well as intensity. Will glue you to the chair until the end. Karou was superb. She can manage the whole show without Yukawa. There is no doubt Karou was more serious as a detective in this. Her acting really shines through She should keep her main role in future Galileo drama. Well done Shibasaki San. Easily as good as the best Galileo. Strongly recommended
The original soundtrack is outstanding. Very enjoyable relaxing listening when you want a quiet moment to yourself. I strongly recommended it. Mind you, it is out of print and very difficult to get now.
Do not be distracted by the new detective, this season is still very enjoyable. The riddles were well explained and quite a number of plots were touching. The episodes got better as we moved along, excellent by the end. While Kaoru had an admiration for Yukawa and worked well with the professor; Kishitani did the opposite. She behaved like an opinionated youngster, only bombarded the professor to help her to solve crime. We missed Kaoru, but all in all, an enjoyable drama without stress which one can settle down to watch anytime.
With Sawamura as the experienced surgeon and Higa Minami as lead nurse, this drama proved outstandingly good. Minami must be the best nurse on Japanese tv drama. She was outstanding in Code blue and now here. Performing with charm and professionalism, I have not seen equal. The story is simple and relied heavily on the skills of the main actors and the supporting casts to bring it to life. Very touching throughout without slow sections at all. Highly recommended
This was a recommendation by a friend. My mistake was that I watched the latest movie first. The original series was much better. There was more time for the story to develop and more time for experiment demonstrations which made this series special. The chemistry between Fukuyama and Shibasaki was great, particularly with her admiration of the professor. Their interactions certainly brought the story alive. Very enjoyable
I learned to appreciate the work which pharmacists have to do in hospitals through this drama. I am surprised at the scope of work they do in the Japanese emergency departments as well as in community visits. As a result it was an eye opener for me. It had a tremendous start but slowed down afterwards. The main actress Ishihara Satomi was the key to pull this drama together. She was very good. If not for her, the middle section was a little slow and flat. The pace did pick up again in the last couple of episodes though. I enjoyed the drama particularly if you are looking for a stress free entertainment in the evening.
Surprisingly good first episode which gets you right in. Very realistic fire scenes and the actors worked well together. It will take a while to know the whole fire crew. But the directors were good to get you close to the heart of each character with their daily chores thrown in to dilute the tension. Once you are there, you will begin to feel the heat, the frustration and the pain of each of them. Dirty politics and under funding created more destruction to the team spirit than the fire itself. The events and the characters were almost believable. It was pitched at the right pace. You will be rewarded if you are patient to stay with it to the very end. . A very good watch with a good original soundtrack. Both the opening song Just stay with me by WaiBird and the end credit song Sill Around by Maggie Chien are enjoyable and memorable. I enjoyed it
What grabbed me about this drama was the realistic portrayal of what a hard working surgeon’s life is all about. Sadly, the exhaustive amount of preparation behind the scene was often not appreciated outside the operation theatre. Kimurasan was excellent in painstakingly bringing this message out. Kimura Fumino did a fantastic job as the indispensable nurse supporting Kimurasan’s surgeries. The soundtrack was naturally excellent as it was composed by the same composer as in Code Blue. I enjoyed this drama and would recommend to anyone who enjoys Japanese medical drama
Entertaining light hearted drama good for a weekend. Fujiwara was excellent as the cop, and Yoko was a believable caring teacher. A class of troubled students from our modern society with little parental guidance or support. Extreme pressure on teachers working on extended hours. Very relevant to the underfunded schools in our world. The action scenes were good and brought life into this otherwise whodunit drama. It certainly kept the audience guessing until the very end. Good watch
As good as one expects from the Hero series. Amamiya looked as good and as supportive to Kuryu as she had always done in the last 14 years. The old chemistry was still there to make it worthwhile to watch. Assagi played her part very well as Kuryu's assistance, not overshadowed by Amamiya at all. Kuryu did look a little tired in this movie. Maybe the two strong female leads overwhelmed him a little. .The movie is a very worthwhile addition to a legend. Tight plot but with enough participation from each member of the prosecutor team to make it fun as always. I thoroughly enjoyed it
My all time favourite Kimurasan drama. Excellent acting by the Captain and Aki. Their chemistry was truly touching and will hold your heart to the end. This is a Kimura classic. The concentration, the stare, the grin, the sigh, the dropped key and the body language on ice were all there to show why he is the superstar he is today. The music was excellent. I often played the whole soundtrack in my car during a lot of my journeys. The song "about you" will certainly plug your heart string every time it is played. To me it should have been played when Aki felt Haru was crying. There were many scenes which will stay in the viewer's memory for a long time after. Very touching. The drama stands above the rest "Maybe".
One of the best medical drama series I have seen. All members of the cast have put in a sterling performance absorbing the audience into their world of pumped adrenaline, intense pressure, frustration, friendship and team building. It has everything. The soundtrack is fantastic and the main theme song Hanabi by Mr Children remains one of my favourite. This is a must watch drama and the movie rounded up the series very nicely. Every character is so likeable that they will remain in your heart always
Interesting plot and a prompt start. The viewers get absorbed into the story early. The main role actors were well supported by an outstanding cast. Ayase Haruka was superb as the long suffering nurse Saki. The drama ran a quick pace at the beginning. Then it slowed down in the middle, only to pick up again in the last three episodes Never a dull moment. The ending was a bit deflated. Guess season 2 will explain what happened to the doctor. Nevertheless a very watchable show. The drama has one of the best ending song Aitakute Ima by Misia. It remains one of the top 5 Japanese drama songs for me.
I watched the first episode and it completely knocked me out of my seat. Easily the most intense medical drama I have watched so far. That’s obviously attributed to the tremendous cast who each has put in an enormous amount of energy behind the characters they portrayed. If you thought you have seen everything in season 1, you have not seen anything yet. I would strongly recommend you his series
With directors from Code blue and Galileo. Main actress from Border and main actor from Unsung Cinderella and supporting role from Grand Maison Tokyo, this promises to be a good drama. The first episode is not as tight and fast paced as Code blue, but the uniforms and equipment makes one feel like one is watching Code blue. I hope it will catch up once the story develops further. The potential is there
The music was excellent. I often played the whole soundtrack in my car during a lot of my journeys. The song "about you" will certainly plug your heart string every time it is played. To me it should have been played when Aki felt Haru was crying. There were many scenes which will stay in the viewer's memory for a long time after. Very touching.
